I'm with ya - and I will be cheering on the U.S. but I think this is going to be a tough one - but I'll tag along with you and predict 2-1. I'm not going against an Irishman when it come to predicting soccer

We had our chances. I just wished they came out with the same urgency and fire in the first half as they did the second.

I wouldn't call it a choke. Ghana is a good team that's beaten us before and has knock out round experience. 4 years from now I expect our guys to take to the next level.

Besides Ghana did have the home country advantage.

I still call it a choke.
Should have learned from 4 yrs. ago.

Ghana isn't as good as everyone thinks. The best part of their game is flopping. The US played stupid in the "OT".
The majority of this team won't be there in 4 yrs.

Why is it that teams from the USA can't seem to win under the world spotlight?

The US have qualified for the last 6 world cup finals going back to 1990, they reached the quarter finals in 2002 and for what its worth the final of the confederations cup in 2009. Bloody hell, I wish my country had a record like that.

Do not forget also that in the group stages of this World Cup, they topped a group that contained England. Thats a pretty decent achievement if you ask me.

From a neutrals point of view I would not regard the US team as chokers, in fact they are very good side, and its a view echoed by the media this side of the atlantic, who can be ruthless at the best of times.
