In that case, they escort you to a place with a couple of AC outlets that you can plug into and do the check.

    Update:

I ordered this thing on Monday and it arrived today (Wednesday).

I gave them an extra $5.00 to get it in 3-5 working days.

This transaction went fast and smooth.....

Now it is time to use this thing. :)

The Flash drive has a little green blinking light to let me know it is working and downloading.

I am transfering a crap load of data (1.7 gigs) as we speak and I am timing the biitch to see how long it takes for shits and grins.

Ok - the size of data I moved was 757 MB.

    That took 19 minutes.

I am not sure if I have USB 1.1 or 2.0. The computer is 2 1/2 years old but even at 19 minutes, I could walk away and let it do its thing so no big deal.

From now on, I will use this gizmo to back up data on a weekly basis and that will take a nano-second to do.

This is a life saver for me - finally !!! I will not sweat all the damn CD's.......

    That's more indicative of a USB 1.1 setup. 757 MB in 19 minutes = 5.5 Megabits/sec.

A USB 2.0 setup would be at least 10 times faster.

Not sure about the PC cuz I haven't downloaded anything from the PC. But I usedta get THAT message when I'd be downloading from the 'puters at skool in class.
