It's set. Our Vegas road trip to Michael's Pub for an away game will be on 12/2 as the Chargers take on the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead. Hey locals. What hotels are fairly close to this pub? I've been checking flights for that weekend and they seem pretty reasonable right now... $77 one way on Southwest. For those prices, I'd fly rather than make the 6 hour drive.
Last time I did a road trip to that place was the Leaf debacle. I don't think going to a KC game is good karma so probably won't attend.. :icon_toast:
I might have to look into this trip. Gawd help the good people in the greater Las Vegas area if this turns into another San Fran like party. :icon_party: :icon_banana:
No, we're going to Vegas to watch the game at a local Chargers' Pub. An actual Arrowhead invasion will have to wait for another time. :icon_mrgreen:
Yeah no **** I was thinking the same thing and Las Vegas would be the only place to raise the bar a notch. :icon_toast: This time we need a hotel with a REAL BAR although buying cases of beer and tearing up a pool ain't so bad the night before. Gotta bring a 8 ball and roll large - woohoo !!
Kucinich doesn't have a private jet he keeps his word about the environment unlike Hillary Obama and Edwards... and believe me he could get one if he wanted with a lot of huge celebrities supporting him.
I know .. I was at some Chargers pub in Vegas for that KC game. I can't recall if it was Michael's or not .. At any rate I'm not sure it would be good Karma for me to go there or not to do the same thing..
There WILL be a tailgater at Arrowhead with more than a few Chargers fans, so come on out to the game if you want and join in the fun. We can use all the help we can get parting the "sea of red".
The Palms and The Orleans are both pretty cool. They're large casinos that host a lot of cool events. But they're off the strip so it's not quite so expensive to stay there.
Hey mods can we stick this thread? This is muy importante. :icon_party: :nana_rasta: :lttehghost: :football: :icon_high:
Yeah, I second the motion. This could be the "one". The event which propels us to nirvahna. **** dog it can happen we just have to believe. :icon_toast:
We're gonna need to fly Chispa in because you know someone will wind up needing representation. Carrie I hope we're not scaring you. :icon_eek: :icon_party: :icon_toast:
I personally like the downtown area better. A better vibe, with less snooty *** people. Depending on the day you can get a hotel for llike 40 bucks. They are clean and comfortable which is all most really need.
Actually, I believe I've stayed at the Orleans before and it was just fine. I have no problem staying off the strip on this trip.... I'd prolly prefer it... Let me check out some rates...
When my family comes to down they always stay close to Freemont/Stratosphere. They usually stay at the Four Queens. That area has a cool atmosphere and it is cheaper than the newer end of the strip. And it's only a couple miles further from Michaels.
My questions. Who is all going? What is the total plan here and person coordinating it all? Where are we all staying hope fully in the same hotel? When are we all getting there? How are we all getting to Michal's pub once we are there? That is my start. There will be more ??? later.
OK Turtle.. The only thing that is certain at this time is that we are all meeting at Michael's Pub for the game on Sunday 12/2. The rest will kind of evolve as we continue to plan.. I've started checking out hotels: Orleans $135 for two nights. ($100 on Saturday and $35 on Sunday) 4 Queens $82 for two nights ( $51 on Saturday and $31 on Sunday) We can keep checking hotels but I'd prolly be more inclined to stay at Orleans for just a bit more cash... The atmosphere and ammenities might be worth the cost difference. Anyway, this is a start... Post if you have other ideas...
