"In a game like we had in Oakland, you have to give credit when you got a coach like Wade,'' defensive end Luis Castillo said of the team's defensive coordinator. "He understands the differences in his players and he puts us in a scheme to let all his guys use their abilities to make plays.''

It's no play on words: the Chargers kept the "O" in Oakland by shutting out the Raiders 27-0 on Monday in the season-opening victory.</blockquote>
