<img src="http://bolttalk.com/images/chargersvcolts12.jpg" class="right" alt="Chargers sack Manning" />INDIANAPOLIS ---- The son of Bum made the Colts glum.

Chargers defensive coordinator Wade Phillips had one the finer moments of a stellar career in helping his team upend the Colts' perfect season with a 26-17 victory Sunday.

The Colts entered averaging a league-high 30.2 points per outing and leading five other offensive categories. They had also scored in an NFL record 31 consecutive quarters.

Then they waded in against Phillips' defense.

"Any time you play a team like that, especially as good as they are offensively, as a defense you either meet the challenge or you don't,'' Phillips said. "Our guys were ready to meet the challenge."</blockquote>
