Oakland is a shithole. Two weeks ago one of my employees' husband was coming out of a bakery with his two year old son when he witnessed a robbery in progress. The bastards shot him right thru the leg and his son saw the whole thing. Fortunately he threw his son in his truck and slammed the door right when he was getting popped. He now has a silver dollar sized hole in his leg (and will probably never work again).

About a month ago I was driving down the embarcadero and saw OPD pulling a dead body out of the bushes. Two days later I saw OPD and the Coast Guard pulling a car out of the estuary.
