Okay...this will probably get off to a slow start, since most Bolt Talkers
will be watching the Chargers @ Titans, in the early game.

Elsewhere: I'm intrigued by the Jags @ Seahawks (1:25 pdt)...
The line I'm looking at says "Jags + 16.5"
I think that really underscores the current parity in the NFL:
Not only are (according to ESPN Power Rankings) the Seahawks supposed to be the
NFL's best team, and the Jags the very worst--the biggest imbalance possible--
the game is even being played in Seattle. So why only 16.5 points?
Well, for starters, unlike college, NFL lines virtually never predict a
totally lopsided game...even though such results happen all the time.

Further, even though everything on paper says that the Jags should just stay safe
in Jacksonville and claim they're studying organic fruit tree propagation techniques,
this line really isn't huge (4 teams have already lost by more, through just 2 weeks).
And yet I'd still take the Jags, and the seemingly small cache of points.
Don't I think they're the dregs of the league right now?
Yep! They're awful! But I just don't think the Seahawks have shown all that much, so far
(yes, the Seahawks beat SF...but mostly SF beat SF).

Just my 2 cents...now...let's get deep into Week 3!! :)

Edit: Okay, 16 minutes into the game (2:08pdt) , I'm looking like an idiot:
not only have the Seahawks scored 2 TDs, the Jags are at
    -9 total yards so far!
--but it is early, yet!--

Edit #2: Okay, ~32 minutes into the game (3:18pdt) , I'm really looking like an idiot:
31-0...last time I put my trust in a football player named "Maurice"!!
--but it is still far from over--

Final Edit (#3): Okay, game ended 45-17...so with the points = Seahawks 45, Jags 33.5
so I blew that one...on the other hand, see Colts game...

If they had tebow, they'd lose only for 3 quarters and win in the 4th. Make it happen jaxville.

Afternoon game has Colts + 10 @ SF.
Does that seem high to anyone else?
Yes, the 'Niners may have the best roster in the league,
but Harbaugh's club played like crap against the Seahawks...
I think the Colts cover here...at least...

Edit: Okay, Colts did win outright: 27-7,
    so, with points = Colts 37, 49ers 7 :D

Thank you, Panthers, for providing me some comfort, at this difficult time.

Thank you, Ravens, for exposing the Texans.

Colts, can you please make sure that Jim Harbaugh has a lousy day?

The Colts just went through SF's D like a wet sneeze through a tissue.

The 49ers are still Superbowl favorites, as far as I'm concerned.

And Richardson's one yard on one carry RAISES his ypc...

Just kidding. But another way to look at it is:
Browns with Richardson (and his 3.4 ypc) = 0-2
    Browns without Richardson = 1-0

Since they're going to suck in 2012, getting a 1st, to virtually assure getting a real QB in '14, probably a smart call.

Note that all 14 of these guys picked the 49ers today, who got "kilt"...and have been outscored 56-10
in their last two outings. They may have the best players in the league, but there seems to be a
coaching problem (I, for one, thought they ditched Alex Smith before the jury was totally in on Kap...we'll see)

Interestingly, in the games below, only 3 are unanimous...and 2 of those are unanimously wrong!

Also, of the 182 results in so far (games completed) these guys are only batting 53.8%...
which wouldn't be too bad for "expert" opinions against the spread...but these are just outright picks. Horrible.
(the Jag-off should help their woeful %, since, of course all 14 guys picked Seahawks)

Anyway, lousy "expert" picks. And the 49ers are 1-2 with the 2nd worst point differential in the league! And now it looks like Aldon Smith may be leaving the team indefinitely (rehab?)

    Screen Shot 2013-09-22 at 4.04.16 PM.png

So, hands up everyone who said "Yeah, after 3 games I expect the Dolphins and Chiefs
will be 2 full games in front of the Packers & 49ers..."

[Somehow I majorly funked this post up...still learning Posting Basics 101:]

Anyway, I'm curious, anyone else experience this?

I've noticed that as I get older, more and more often I find myself wanting to
root against both teams playing: I think that as the years go on, I build up
grudges against guys/teams...a lot of them!

So, right now, I want the Steelers to lose (because their fans can be unbearably smug,
    re. Lombardi Trophies...and I'm anti-rape)
but I also want the Bears to lose (re. the Cutler/Rivers rivalry).

I find myself rooting against the Eagles (re, Vick dog thing), Giants (damn you, Eli!),
Jets (always wanna see Rex Ryan choke on his predictions), Cowboys (Jerry Jones you clown!),
49ers (Harbaugh is a jerk on so many levels!)...and, well...let's just say I've got a lot of issues
with a lot of teams. Is this sort of extensive "enemies list" common, or do most of you just
have it in for 1 or 2 teams?
