Adrian Peterson = Man among boys.

    1 carry in 2013 = 78 yards & 1 TD

    YoAdrian.jpg

    (Unbelievable follow-up stat: AP's next 15 carries = yield of only 10 yards, .667 per...but a 2nd TD)

    Meachem Watch:

"Broken down" or return to '09 form...it'll be interesting...

Edit: I mistakenly posted that Meachem had been credited with two carries...
my mistake, it was Ingram...as of the half, Meachem hasn't touched the ball
or even (as far as I can tell) been targeted...though Brees has completed to
    7 guys as of 11:45 p.d.t.)

    Poster Ryan Johnson on NFL.com:

"I just bought a Lions bumper sticker for my old broke down vacuum cleaner and now it sucks again."

(I'm guessing the line is recycled, but it's still a welcome smile)

    My God!

10 games going on simultaneously...absolute gridiron immersion/decadence/overload after such a long drought.

    Week 1!.png

    This is Heaven!!!

Is this a great country, or what!?!?

(p.s.: look at the far right of the graphic...could this be the only moment in NFL
history in which three teams [JAC, NYJ & PIT] simultaneously had precisely 2 points?

Bizarro stat: I think all 17 weeks of 2012 season yielded just 9 (2-point) safeties.

In the first hour of Week 1, we've seen 3 already... Jets, Jags & Steelers (tho Pitts did nothing to earn this one!)

(on pace for over 50 for the 2013 season!)

I was keeping an eye on the Brown game, just to see if beleaguered Norv could do
anything with the scraps o' Weeden. On NFL.com it said Weeden had a ~58 yard TD pass...
then it disappeared...then it was replaced with a 3rd INT!

thought it was 4 safeties in the first quarter of action. Crazy weird. Also watch out for *said this before* the 16+ teams that throw for 45-5k yardage by season end. Its another new year and another new leauge.

some fishy stuff goin down in Cleveland. Lets C if they can score anything before the half. What u think norv will try for the TD or end up with 4th down fail... no FG...

    Scratch that TD it is.

Finally wrangled control of the living room and TV - hearing C. Johnson got screwed out of a TD again this year? Anyone confirm?

Panthers holding Seahawks Wilson & Lynch to just 3 points, through 2 1/2 quarters so far. Surprising.

...and yes, Weeden may not be much...but he does have a lead right now! :p

Jamal Charles hasnt had a run shorter than his season average of 5.5 from last season. CMON Jags please stop the RUN!!! He just busted of back to back 15 and 10 yard first down runs one left then reverse the same play to the right. :/

The Raiders QB, Pryor will give our D fits. For a long time we have had no luck containing a mobile QB. He is definitely mobile.

Pryor is scary-elusive...averging about 10 yards a carry, and escaping sure sacks.
And just gave the Raiders a surpring road lead in Indy...

But his passing is still suspect, and--despite the current enthusiasm in the NFL (RG3, Kaepernick, etc.)--
I still wouldn't want my team's fate riding on a QB who runs a lot, and is thus a big injury target...

    Neither have the Jags.

It is lookin like NO ONE will not know who Terrell Pryor is.

Correction its their own 36 Jax has yet to make it past. LOL

JAX is one of the 3 worst teams in the league, not surprising.

    AFC West Watch:

Broncos 1-0...let's hope Raven's D is just worse than thought
Chiefs 1-0...Maybe as good as hyped...but who can tell v. horrible Jagoffs?
Raiders 0-1...but Pryor's legs put league on notice (100,000th time Raiders & "priors" in same sentence)
Chargers 1-0...who saw 73-0 shut-out of Texans coming?

Just noticed this awesome quote from ESPN's Week 1 Power Rankings:
"A defensive draft, plus Elvis Dumervil and Daryl Smith, will keep the Ravens' D formidable."
