    1. Fire Norv Turner 2. Offer Chip Kelley a 3 year contract. 3. Trade Rivers for a QB that can pass and RUN. 4. Rebuild the offensive team with an emphasis on SPEED, talent and STAMINA in that order. 5, Adopt the HURRY UP OFFENSE. The hurry up Offense is the offense of the FUTURE. The future is NOW. You can run the opposing defenses into the ground give them NO time to set up, or substitute, TIRE them out by having players in better CONDITION with more speed and stamina who are used to playing full throttle the WHOLE game. ( see Oregon Ducks). Players conditioned to play the game faster are more intense more aware, make fewer mistakes and play a lot better than the old slow offenses, plus its a better, more exciting game to watch, and it will take the Chargers to the Super Bowl. If you watch an Oregon Ducks game you will see they blow out the opposition in the first half, and rest the starters for the second half resulting in FEWER INJURIES to the starters. New England is already experimenting with this offense.

Stopped reading at #2. Spread offense does not work in the NFL. Try again.

Ignorance is nothing to brag about, tell New England the Hurry up doesnt work. The Spread Offense wasn't mentioned once in my comments, and Hurry up offense doesnt have to be tied to it. You may not like Chip Kelley, but he is not a one trick horse. The Point is we need a new head coach. The hurry up Offense over the course of the whole game has not been tried in the NFL.

He didn't say that the hurry up doesn't work, he said that the spread doesn't work. Also, I think that your case in point, NE, is a perfect example of not needing a mobile QB if your line isn't garbage.

Because the rest of your post was just dripping with intelligence, right? Wonderful insight like "trade Rivers" and "hurry up offense is the future".

    LMFAO

I think that there's something to using the hurry up, but it's irrelevant when your line can't pass-block or run-block.

Or a QB who can actually run it properly.

The point I was making is that Chip Kelley runs a SPREAD offense at Oregon. The fact they run it in hurry up mode is irrelevant, and the point OP was making about hurry up being the future is laughable. Hurry up has been around for a long time.

A mobile Quarterback will be the only quarter back as the game progresses into the future

The Chargers already have an offensive genus guru as a head coach. Why would they want another one?

It's a gimmick, not the future. It works in CFB because student athletes. Do you even watch CFB or do you just watch highlights. Even Oregon doesn't run it 100% of the time. How many championships has it netted the Ducks btw?

This is not the way to make an introduction of yourself at a new forum. Why not do less insulting and try to communicate your ideas in a better manner, and where you cant, just agree to disagree?

What's the matter Lightning? you dont post any new Ideas for fear of someone using a moronic phrase on you like "Try Again" or is it that you dont have any Ideas and you get your jollies by attacking other people ideas? Will this post generate another LMFA? Is that your idea of communicating in a better manner?

Karen, don't take this the wrong way, but the principle of your argument is flawed because A) you're suggesting running the spread, and B) you're saying that a mobile QB is automatically an improvement, and not because RTL should lower his body fat %, which is completely irrelevant to his ability to think, btw.

Also, your assertion that all QBs in the future will be mobile QBs, while quite possibly true, is in no way related to Rivers' ability to effectively run the hurry up. The crux of the hurry up is effective line play combined with elite TEs and a QB who makes good decisions after the snap and can call plays at the line, not a scrambling QB.

    To do list:
    1. Fire Norv, hire a new head coach, preferably one with testicles this time.
    2. Fire AJ, hire a new GM, preferably one who owns a suit and not a wardrobe full of Hawaiian shirts.
    3. Use free agency and the draft to upgrade secondary and O-line.
    4. Never, ever, ever mention chill pills again

Look towards the future, Chargers have nothing to lose by dismantling and planning a new team designed for the kind of football that will be played in the future. YES football like everything else will evolve. The team that will be visiting the Super Bowl in the Future is the team that sees the future
and prepares for it. The good news is football is going to be a much faster more exciting game to watch.
