I don't know what he's doing in Mil. But I sure as hell saw what he was doing in SD the last few years. His 83 mph hotdog down the middle should have led the league in blown saves, and potential playoff appearances. I got respect for Hoff, but I'm glad he's no longer with us.
9 for 9 in save opportunities, 10 scoreless innings. It seems major league batters have trouble hitting his hot dogs this year. And how do you lead the league in potential playoff appearances?
I meant blown seasons (potential post seasons, remember that?) I'm sure he loves not having tony gwynn jr. To throw at too. Let's see 40 year old bp closer one year 41 year old dominant 10 scoreless inning pitcher the next? We don't condone HGH in SD, probably pumpin the same **** in old hoffs arm that makes those brats so plump and juicey.
I'd gladly trade Giles for Hoffy back. But, in all seriousness, this wasn't meant as a "Padres screwed up by letting him go!" stamp my feet thread. I really just wanted to point out that he was doing well up there.
