:icon_shrug: Charlie sucked it up against the 49ers tonight, I hope this isnt a reflection on AJ Smiths evaluation of QB talent. How do u throw two picks to a crap hole team like that!!!
I think this proves me correct when i said 2 monts ago we should have drafted Brodie Croyle:icon_evil:

Whitehurst was playing with 2nd and 3rd stringers trying to make the team.

With the exception of McNeill, our OL was all backups as well.

ya heres the funny thing...so were they.
You cant tell me guys like Sammy Davis shut down our passing game.
i hope im wrong about Charlie, but i was like WHAT! when we drafted him. The guy didnt even have that good of a college carrer, almost as many Int's as TD's

You have to temper this by the fact he played under different O-Coordinators each year......

And it was at Clemson, for fuq sakes...not Ed Zachary the passing mecca of College Football.

    :icon_rofl: Brodie Croyle ? :icon_rofl:

I think the biggest knock on Whitehurst in college was that he was hurt alot. When he was healthy, not many better.

Who expected him to shine this early? He needs time to develop.

lol...I couldn't have said it better (I think)..plus we cannot go back and rewrite the draft. What's done is done and he is a Charger now.

    I like Whitey a lot.

Our new QB coach Ramsdell is known to be a guru for QB's so let him do his voodoo on this dude. I like what I see as a fan and hope he can push Rivers HARD to get even better.

Alright, i hate to do this to u guys because were all bolts fans. But your acting like naive Raider fans that think Aaron Brooks and a 4 and 1 preseason will lead them back to greatness.
I hope ur right about Charlie and that its just early, but he really struggled over the preseason. I didnt see that flair you seewhen u watch Rivers throw the ball.

I saw glimpses of "IT" in the last game ... not a steady beacon of "IT" but "IT" nonetheless.

You and your "naive Raider" mentality.....:icon_wink:

I'm willing to at least let Charlie mature a bit and play a little in the regular season before I decide to write him off in pre-season....maybe we should move to Oakland Trumpie lol.

I give any rookie at least 3 years to prove his mettle unless he is absolutely horrible because to do so otherwise is just foolish.

Whitey's dad was a QB so he was brain-washed just like Rivers to start teething on a football instead of a pacifier.

Oakland would meltdown and I would have to Glock up bigtime with our rears invading the Black Hole. I would feel "soiled". :icon_mrgreen:

I didn't really expect too much out of him yet...hopefully he'll get there with time. I'm not ready to write him off after four pre-season games.
