Welcome to the forum. This thread was a continuation of a thread that was closed. It seems to me that the vast majority of fans don't like prevent defense. So there was no need for it to become what it's became.
I don't think it's nonsense at all. In the beginning, I did want a losing season and my reason was very self explanatory.... I'd take a losing season (meaning coaching changes and a high draft pick) over a rerun of last season. Simply because I want a Super Bowl instead of inching into the playoffs and getting a win or two. When the team has as much talent as this team... that's major under achieving.
I didn't say that was nonsense. I said your insinuation that you are one of a select few who wants a Super Bowl is nonsense. Just because others disagree with you in how that can be done and disagree with you on whether or not limited success should be acknowledged doesn't mean they don't care about a Super Bowl. To be frank, the insinuation is down right insulting, right up there with people saying you aren't a "real fan" because you had a radical viewpoint on accomplishing the main goal in the future.
I really enjoy your passion, and in all honesty I totally agree with you. We're all fans and we all want that big win. The prevent defense upsets me as well, but at the same time we are coming out with the W, so I'll put my faith into the coaches and the players. Having said that, lets enjoy the ride, because when we do hoist that trophy it will make the whole season that much more sweet. Beers on me when we win! :icon_toast:
So you pointing out that problem is going to fix it? Does the coaching staff read your posts? If we lose in the playoffs are they going to say "oh ****, we should have listened to BOLTS4LIFE." Of course not, so you are merely complaining just to complain, as it seems to be your nature. I'm guessing that highly paid professionals, who have currently figured out a way to win ten games in a row, might have a pretty good idea what needs to be done. I'll go ahead and have faith in them until I am shown otherwise.
Here's the inherent problem with B4L's complaint. He's actually right on his two initial claims. 1. The defense did screw up at the end of the half 2. If they play like that in the playoffs our chances are not good But here's the problem: The defense played well throughout the entire game. For all intents and purposes they only gave up 10 points (TD in garbage time against our B team...) Yeah, you're right B4L with those two claims, but you may as well just say "If we play ****** in the playoffs we'll lose!" Yeah....no ****.
Some posters hug that retarded logic like a $2 whore. So tell me... what should we discuss in a Chargers forum? Picking flowers? Knitting sweaters? Baking cakes? I'm sure there are forums for those discussions else where, so knock yourself out. If we're not going to talk about the Chargers, then this forum wouldn't exist. Fans of ALL teams ALWAYS discuss areas their team should improve on. That's why the Draft is televised for the public to see. I have no doubt that the vast majority of NFL fans (and even sports fans in general) would agree that your post contains the dumbest MF logic ever heard!!! :yes: None of the coaches are reading your posts either, so why are you posing here? I know. I personally like fans like like that. SL can't stand them and has made comments about how they ruin game day.
Here you go, B4L. I hope this explains why some have been taken aback by your complaints even though they are valid.
Personally, I would never paint my face, it's just not my style and I wouldn't want to have to wash it off afterwards. (no offense, pointy :lol: ) That being said, I certainly have no problem with those that do and don't understand why someone would have a problem with it. How on Earth can that ruin a gameday experience?

Geez, do you you need everything to be explained to you? he was talking about the las two Chargers playoff losses BTW, a caveman could understand his comment (and the difference between a first round bye and home field advantage throught the playoffs)
