    LOL!!!
Norv is NOT in a situation to say anything or give suggestions to AJ.
    Can you say "Yes Man?"

He's in the same position Marty was in last year. :icon_shrug:

AJ had a bad relationship with one head coach. That does not create a trend.

We had several posts about this in the beginning asking "will it really be so bad having a yes man for a coach."
In other words... all Norv is to do is say "yes" to everything AJ tells him. If he dares question AJ's motive, it's his head!!!

No employee or super visor is going to have a problem getting along with a "yes man."

How is it "his head" when AJ can't fire him?

Quit talking out your *** in a feeble attempt to make your argument sound better.

And even if Norv is nothing but a "yes man" that still doesn't dispel the fact that there has been no trend created with AJ "not being able to get along with head coaches" since there's only been one that he couldn't get along with.

    A trend requires multiple occurrences.

How do you argue with somebody who does nothing kisses your *** and agrees with everything you say?
That's what AJ expects from Norv. Why don't you get it?

And I know AJ can't fire him but if he tells Dean to do so, what will happen? EXACTLY!!!

If this season continues to be this mediocre and inconsistent and we fail to make the playoffs with this team, as talented as it is, Dean Spanos will have few alternatives to firing Norval. Haven't read the contract, but not having a buy out clause in it would be terribly short sighted. Especially with The narrow window of success with a given roster. One candidate would be a relatively unknown OC named Steve Fairchild, if Cowher doesn't come to town.

You still haven't dispelled the fact that no trend has been created in regards to AJ "not being able to get along with head coaches"

No matter how much of a yes-man Norv may or may not be there's still only one head coach AJ had personal issues with to the point of not being able to get along with him.

Again, a trend requires more than one occurrence.

    It's still Dean's decision.

AJ Smith does what Dean Spanos tells him to do, not the other way around.

That's kinda how the boss-employee relationship works in any job, it's no different in the NFL.

That being said, I kinda hope AJ asks Dean to fire Norv.

How come Marty and Butler didn't have a rocky relationship?

    DAMMIT CHARGERS FANS!!!!
Why aren't you so pissed off that you want AJ's head?!!!

If this same situation were going on in Baltimore, New York, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, ect... AJ wouldn't be able to be seen in public without 10 huge bodyguards!!!!
Especially a city like Cleveland that has been starving for a Super Bowl title forever and is seeing their best chance of getting one going down the tubes!!!!!!

The new coaching team IS AJ's decision and he IS responsible!!!
WHY THE FUK IS THAT SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND?!!!!

Only if Norv's contract is guaranteed. There may be a buyout clause for being terminated, or "released from the contract". I hope so, Norv sucks.

If we dont make the playoffs, we will explore other options in the offseason. Turner has no motivation for this team.

Because sometimes two people just can't get along?

Just because there was no trend with Marty doesn't mean there's a trend with AJ.

I'm still waiting for you to dispel that fact, you keep failing.

I don't work for the Chargers. I can't give you the dirt.

But going by what evidence is available and human instinct... seems AJ was the aggressor in the feud!!!!

You don't need to work for the Chargers to know what a "trend" is

You only have to had paid attention in English class.

Well in that case... all you need to do is reread what I posted and you'll see the trend!!

I don't need to re-read what you posted know whether or not a trend has been established as to whether or not AJ has trouble getting along with head coaches.

All I need is one finger to count the number of head coaches he's had clashes with.

Then I can look in my reliable dictionary and look up the word "trend" and realize we don't have one here.

Again... How come Butler didn't have clashes with Marty?

AJ has completely destroyed this era and it doesn't take an Einstein to figure that out!!

    God, you're ****ing dense.

Do I need to spell it out for you?

A trend requires multiple occurrences or it is not a trend

It does not matter whether or not Marty got along with John Butler, all that matters is there has not been multiple occurrences of AJ not getting along with his head coach.

Did you sleep through English class when you were in school?

    No. You are dense.

I think that fact that Butler had no issues with Marty proves who was the aggressor between Marty and AJ.

AJ is ALL about his ego.
    Most fans realize that.
    How come you don't?!!!

Marty and John Butler's business relationship is irrelevant to his business relationship with AJ Smith.

Is it not possible for two people to simply hate each other?

AJ Smith gets along with Norv Turner, but you blow that off by calling Norv a "yes man"

AJ Smith gets along with Dean Spanos

AJ Smith got along with John Butler, for crying out loud.

How is Marty's business relationship with Butler relevant in any way whatsoever to whether or not AJ has established a trend with not getting along with head coaches?

    It isn't

This isn't very hard to understand. In order to establish a trend it has to happen more than once.

I'm sure you are capable of counting to two, aren't you?

You're either really dense, really stupid, or a troll

Either way I'm going to bed before my head explodes over the utter lack of pure logic and reason I've been reading throughout this thread. (and before I get myself banned by responding to it even further.)

AJ Smith is still one of the best talent evaluators out there, his draft record speaks for itself.

If Norval's *** is fired after THIS SEASON, then I am still in AJ's corner.

But if Norval is retained, after what he has done to this team, then I'll be calling for AJ's head right with you.

I fear that the only way that Norv gets booted is if Dean forces the issue.

Speakin of AJ's decisions, I'll be watchin Ben Grubbs with interest this weekend. Until Baltimore picked him right before us you think AJ would have picked him instead of Buster?.... :icon_shrug:

Considering that Dean is the only one with the authority to fire him you're right...by default.
