I don't get the appeal to owning autographed memorabilia if you weren't there to personally get the autograph. Now, I do get the appeal if your goal is to sell it since others seem to like it, but eventually somewhere down the line of all the buying and selling there's somebody who wants to buy it to say they have an autographed whatever even though somebody else got the autograph. To me, autographs are only valuable as a way of showing you actually met the star/celebrity/sports player/whoever. Otherwise, it's just some scribbling on merchandise.
Ha.. I know the feeling Blue Bolt.. I swore I'd never join FB.. Never say never I guess. It's been pretty cool catching up and getting together with friends I lost touch with 25+ years ago. I just figured I would share the opportunity for those interested, I'd happily put a Novak shoe in my Charger case, signed or not. lol..
The absolute ONLY reason I joined MySpace, and then Facebook after MySpace went to crap, in the first place. Everything else I do on Facebook I do just because I have it and I can. But if FB didn't allow me to keep in touch with old friends and family who don't live near me anymore I would have never had one and I'd never get one.
I think I have found a buddy of mine that I grew up with and lost contact in 1975, oh and I clicked the "LIKE" button on both
Same here Leo.. When my Dad passed away, 1 year go today, I realized how small my social circle really was. It was my Grandmother, and other home-school Moms for the most part. I had lost touch with all of my old friends. When Dad died, my Grams was very sick and had been in the hospital for months at that point. I needed a distraction, and FaceBook was it. Good luck on the contest Dave! Hugs
I forget what I was trying to do, but I had to sign up for facebook to make it happen. I went the longest time without ever going into that site. Now as I learn how to navigate around in there, I was trying to find some of my Air Force friends, along with some of the kids I grew up with. So far I have found only one, I sent him a friend request a couple of weeks ago, but no response yet.
Aww, I hope you hear back from your friend. For me, one friend led to another, or in some cases 100 others. lol
I followed him into the Air Force, I lost him just as I was finishing my Tech School at Sheppard AFB in Texas.
