No need to try and pick a score or figure out how or if the Chargers can win... Simply, yes or no, do you think the Chargers will beat the Steelers this weekend... elaborate if you want too, but not required. I said no last week and I will so again this week. 24-0 against the Broncos was a punch to the gut, the 4th and 29 was a kick to the teeth while you were down. This team has given up and there's not much more to see this season...sadly. I think the Steelers could easily use this game as a scrimmage and work out any kinks they may have on either side of the ball...a loss is out of the question for them because despite their worst efforts, the Chargers care less about winning and any team that even remotely cares and has 1 second on the clock will defeat the Chargers... And the Chargers, from my vantage point, is just a team that is now comprised of uninspired millionaire athletes. (Yes, I did elaborate more this time...)
We have the Steelers right where we want them...over confident! Great strategy by Norv. Playing in Pitt makes it even more sweet! Time to come out of our coma...and shock the NFL world!
By losing another 24-0 lead, that will surely shock them all~ but then again I do not believe our O can score that many points...
I am scared for not only Rivers but for Ryan Mathews as well. I think we could see some terrible injuries this game with the line we're going to throw against Pittsburgh. Maybe send Ronnie in there and run the wild cat all day? May be the best thing we can do to help the line out. Get them moving at the snap. Makes it harder to blitz. We may not get many yards, but less people could die.
They should forfeit if they are scared! The Steelers are 10X the team we are...they are ripe for the picking! At this point every injury = and opportunity for someone else. Time to clean house...who is up to the challenge?
Fixed for accuracy. I don't think they have a chance on Sunday either. People are talking about Charlie Batch as though he can't complete a pass. Against our CBs, I could complete a pass. Pitt beat Baltimore at home last week, something we couldn't pull off, and they scored more points than we did. Stand by for another emotionally crushing loss if you're rooting for a Charger W.
That is true. We have only won there twice, and both times were in the playoffs, 1983 and 1995 http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/game_query.cgi?tm1=sdg&tm2=pit&yr=all
Nothing to be sorry about, our loss this weekend will contribute to exponential improvement in Charger glory as well as in a marked improvement in your enjoyment of Charger games in 2013.
No, I have this horrible image of Rivers running for his life on damn near every play. Our 1st string o-line sucks, but a backup o-line against Harrison, Woodley and co, some of the dirtiest hitters in the league. Recipe for disaster.
I'd take all of the dirtiest hitters in the league and their six Lombardi's any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Being the nice squeaky clean choir boys of the league hasn't gotten the Bolt's anywhere other than being the laughing stock of the league.
I didn't say anything about not taking them on our team. They're great players who play hard at all times and have the success to show for it. My post was in reference to the context of this week's game, you have to fear those guys breaking through our paper-thin O-line and injuring our QB.
That's speaking my language, I don't go in for this goody two-shoes bullshit in professional football. The game was invented rough so only the tough would play it. Today it is more like a powder puff league and getting weaker every year.
