what makes you think losing ore winning either way would have any more impact on if they stay or if they go. I think the decision has already been made.

Every report that came out said that the performance in our last 5 games where we went 4-1, is what saved Norv's job. So i think had we lost, there is a chance that "Performance down the stretch" view that Dean had, may have changed

I understand what you are saying. That said, that was last season.

Last season the team began playing cohesively in the last 4 games as well as improving on both sides of the ball. We do not have that this season. There are no real positives across the board that we can point to and say 'look, maybe they just need more time.'

Further, the anger from the fan base is greater this season than last season IMHO. I think Dean will be left with little choice but to replace the coaching staff and GM in order to re-energize the team and fan base.

Of course that is just my opinion, and Dean hasnt asked from it yet.

Exactly. What was really needed all along and should have been obvious was this OL:
    Kevin Haslam
    Rex Hadnot
    Nick Hardwick
    Louis Vasquez :cautious:
    Reggie Wells :(

Looks like the players have decided for us and everyone else, which in a way is a good thing. I'm all for a good draft pick now, I couldn't care less about the results in the last 2 games. Roll on April with Jimmy Raye making the picks.

Let's hope Jimmy Raye knows what he's doing...

At this stage anybody over AJ is better. #neverthoughtI'dsaythat

Since 07, AJ has averaged about 1 decent draft pick per year (imo anyway).
It IS theoretically possible to do worse ;)
In fact, I think Matt Millen may have proved it possible.

What made Millen worse was that he was missing with top 5/10 picks over and over again. At least Smitty only bones top 20 picks infinitely :-D

Good point. I think Millen made only two decent picks in eight drafts. That in itself is impressive. A blind monkey on ludes hitting buttons with boxing gloves could have done better.

and how do we know that Millen drafted those top players that said they would play for the cheapest money?

The only way it's not on Millen is if it was the owner making the picks. But surely we're not going to discuss Millen's quality as a GM.

I'd guess that 80-85% of the offensive woes this year were in direct correlation with the 5 guys or 45% roughly paid to play offensive line. Just a guess.
