Over at M-4, we have had an annual little contest to see who has the best wings, and after much deliberation, we will be holding the event on November 25th. It is appropriate as we are also hosting the black birds on that same day. Simply put, if you wish to compete, bring your favorite wings recipe, and there will a panel of judges that will determine if your recipe is worthy. The winner gets the coveted title and a ceremonial rubber chicken which is passed on to next year. Will you be the master of the drumsticks, the wizard of the wings, or the choker of the rubber chicken? Gals, don't be shy, you can try your skills at vying for this title too. If you plan on attending, let us know if you are bringing a wings recipe and competing, or if you are bringing another food item. We may need a couple of stalks of celery to help keep the judges mouths cool for this one. Who's in? Thanks! Pointy
I'll be at tailgate con mi Madre, not sure yet if I can compete. Will let you know Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
How's it going Pointy, been awhile since I made it to a game. I'll be there +4, taking my daughter to her first game. We'll be taking a Mac and cheese casserole and another dish or two. Can't wait to rock the Q and make some noise at the bunker!!!
Hey Freddie! The bunker is no longer, but we are still in the same spot. Good to hear from you man! Okay, I will count you in, and it should be a good one. Let me know if you need anything. Pointy
Just a side note, I have an extra ticket available for this game, contact me via PM if interested. Reasonable offers accepted. Pointy
We haven't heard from the grillmaster, Ivan are we going to have anything besides the wings? Some turkey, perhaps?
Just thinking out loud, Chargers season ticket holders should be getting their annual playoff ticket notices this week...
I am planning on making this one, finally a home game on Sunday!!!! Prob wont be bringing wings but will bring something. Go Bolts
I believe this is where we see who the real fans are Victor... as it's been said, "Win, Lose or Tie, Fan 'till I die!"
^^^ They do it to the season ticket holders every year at this time. And the fun part is that they want the money or the credit card by the 30th of November so they can print the playoff tickets, or so they say. I'm sure it will be waiting in my mailbox tomorrow or Wednesday...
Makes sense...they don't want to take any chances. I wounder what the percentage of season ticket holders pre-pay in a year like this one? If they don't actually execute the transaction I guess it would be safe to do...but if it is a refund situation not so good.
Well...IIRC, recently what they did was take your info and charge you IF they make the playoffs. All I can say is if they send me one and want the money now, it ain't gonna happen.

I just want to take the time to note a couple of upcoming events for our group. On the December 2nd game against Cincinasty, we will be doing a CA theme, featuring carne asada. For the Dec 16th game, that will be our annual Nasty Santa Exchange, where you bring a wrapped gift, (value $10 to $20 bucks, or more if you are feeling generous) then you get to participate in the festivities. Some of those gifts are definitely for adults only, and that is all I am going to say about it. Since we are playing the Panters, we will be cooking up ribs or BBQ for that event. For the final game of the season, we have traditionally had a chili cook-off for the Rayder game, but we want to know who is up for making some good competition chili, otherwise we will also have burgers and dogs so we can make chiliburgers or chilidogs. If you have any ideas, please feel free to post a suggestion about any types of food that you would like to bring to our tailgater. And as always, remember our motto, "We don't hate, we tailgate!" (Yes, even though some of us have raydur fans as relatives...)
Oh, one last thing here. Who won the Rubber Chicken award for last year's chicken wing contest? Was it boltfanatik or was it Coach Craig? Also, any chicken wing contestants yet? So far, we have at least 18 persons plannning on showing up. Coach Craig, you coming to this with NY Mike and company?
