"Coach will make that decision," general manager A.J. Smith said, referring to Norv Turner. A decision could come on Friday.

Kaeding bruised his lower left leg helping to make a tackle on a kickoff in Monday night's 23-3 win against Denver. Turner said on Wednesday that Kaeding should be able to handle field goals but not kickoffs. The AFC West champion Chargers (10-5) play at Oakland on Sunday before hosting a wild-card game the following weekend.

Those working out were Billy Cundiff, Josh Huston, Nick Novak and Dave Rayner.

Rayner was released by Kansas City late last month to make room for John Carney, a former Chargers kicker.
