Great to see you back. Hope you are well sir.

I am sure RVP has a shot. Another two goals today is going to help. It will be between him and David Silva. If City wins the league I think it may go to the Spaniard. Still a lot of football to be played.

For sure. If they can boot the Rags out of the ECL... why not FC Bayern?

I saw the match on the left. City could afford to rest most of the players who played in the friendlies on Wednesday and still win... (not without Mancini getting a bit nervous though).

England can be better. Whoever is managing them for the Euro will have to find the right mix of older and younger players. They will be competitive... but probably not better than a 10-1 shot to win it all. Their side are fortunate not having to start the tournament in a strong group.

Arsenal reported a 49.5m pound post-sales profit. How much of it do you think Wenger will spend this summer? The stadium is almost paid off apparently, so either Wenger refuses to spend or his bosses won't let him....I say the latter.

I don't do much in terms of gaming. Just some cards when I get really bored... and some chess when FCBolt is up to it.

I was rooting for the Dutch but I agree. Why didn't they call up Ox? He's worth a shot imo.

Things have not been nearly as dire as some would like to think. Look at Chelsea. What a joke Abramovich has become. Ancelotti must be absolutely doubled over in laughter!

I laugh at Chelsea's financial policy! Clearly their model is working out........NOT! The only consistent player they have is Mata.

I was trying to root for England to help out Stuart Pearce... but didn't manage it well. It is impossible for me to cheer for a squad with Wayne Rooney in it. Even if he's not there. :D

Agreed. But it may be too late to work him in at this stage.

It is too late since that was the last batch of friendlies before Euro 2012. I think the deadline to name their squads is coming soon.

Good call. Mata has impressed me. I believe Lampard and Terry still have some life in them. Drogba is still good.

Ya I love Mata....too bad he chose the Blues over us. He will miss the CL at this rate. I hate Terry sooo much!!! He's a racist and I think he plays dirty....especially under Jose.

Well there is no clock on these games. We just make moves whenever we're around. A new game is like starting a thread. With no time pressure I play pretty well. There is a chess school thread in there so you can read my philosophical spewings.

I've been following the Podolski transfer saga and everything I have read says he's pretty much a Gunner. I lso read 2 interesting tidbits regarding his transfer fee. Apparently there's a clause in his contract that says if Koln is relegated they can't sell him for more than 8.5m pounds. Also Bayern must receive between 10% and 20% of whatever Koln sells him for.

Tyce is more the fan of Lukas Poldolski. I have considered him a disappointment unless he is playing on the German national team.

Really? He's played well this season but has faded since things turned sour at the club. I think Wenger will get Lukas to harness his potential.

Interesting for sure. Okay... your first instruction is to go the VERY bottom left hand corner of the main page and change the scroller above "Design By: Miner Skinz.com" to "Black Smart Chess".* This makes the squares on the board show up better.

Also you will see the banner I made at the top.

    ---
    *titanux works as well.

    ---
To start a game you press new thread and give it a name. The first person to respond is your opponent. To make a move you click on a piece and then click on the square you wish to move it to... and then you press make move.

It is important to note that this is just a chessboard. It has zero intelligence just like a wooden one. It cannot prevent an illegal move. It cannot call check. If you click on a piece twice it will remove it from the board. If in doubt... do not press make move. Just backspace your browser and try again.
