Allow me to weigh in on the RVP saga: Obviously I still want him to stay but if he must go I would rather it be to a non-EPL side...like Juve. However, the newest reports are that he's told Juventus he'll pass on them (probably because of the newest scandal) and Mancini has ruled out a move altogether. It seems RVP has his mind set on the Red Devils. Fergie has tried twice to land him but Wenger refuses to sell him to a rival for less than £20m. I think he stays this window and we restart the saga in January. He seems fine in training with the squad so I think buying Santi Cazorla has softened his resolve a bit.
The rumor I'm more interested is the Alex Song-to-Barcelona talk. It seems he's agreed terms and they might get him for a fee of £15m. We've been trying to lure Nuri Sahin from Madrid on a season loan so maybe the rumor is real. Regardless hes worth more than £15m for sure.

Heres the thing, if Song moves and Arshavin moves, they just freed up a hell of a lotta wages from those two guys alone. My guess is RVP will sign to Arsenal.
While I agree with you, Wenger seems to be struggling to sell guys like Bendtner, Arshavin, Squillaci and Djourou.

Samir Nasri's goal was nice too! I think it was important for City to play well and establish themselves as worthy champions. Even without any significant additions they still have a very very good team. I agree with Sir Boltman. It is going to be a tremendous season.
