I will break the silence by saying it would be safe to assume that there are no Rags in the 2013 version of Al Abbas.

Okay then... but I will venture that the mighty Al Abbas... (defending Pitch Howler champions)... DO have a Cardiff City player in the current line up.

Haha... The only guy I can think of that you would pick is Bellamy. A bit of a risk to start.

Well Sandy, it looks like the EPL fantasy game took a dump this morning like it did 2 years ago. It hasn't generated the match fixtures.

***EDIT*** - They generated them 20 minutes into the 10:00est games. It was looking like shades of 2 years ago.

Well this is weird... Firstrow is streaming the EPL games. Defying court order not too.

First Row is like Julian Assange. If the cyber police get too close, they can always hole up in the Ecuadorian embassy.

Well that is a fair ton of fixtures. EA Sports really looked bad when they took this over. Now they are even putting their loogos on the kit... (optional... haha).

Reading further into this... First Row Sports only has to block access to EPL games to England. Outside England, it is fair game for First Row Sports to stream EPL games. Makes sense I guess. Too bad for the British.

Well it is a small country. Supporting City not like being a Chargers fan living in Toronto. It doesn`t seem like many of the fixtures are out of reach if you want to go. It is just a matter of what you want to pay for. I`d probably spring for the pay tv if I was still working there.

Sunderland with 20 shots but only 3 on target?
I'm no hardcore soccer fan, but that sounds a bit suspect...

Fulham only had one shot, one on target and one goal.

Shots seem to be more of a pertinent stat when it comes to the balance of play in hockey. Time of possession is more telling in soccer imo. But that can be deceiving as well.

Passes attempted/completed is a good indicator... although if your leading passer is a defender or your goalkeeper... things are not so great either.

Yeah, I'm just getting the hang of this. So you see a guy perform like Whittaker did, he's cheap, so you think that he might be a viable target, but then you read
I guess he's like a no name RB who makes good for a week while #1 is down...

Standings after week one of the Pitch Howlers.

Defending champions Al Abbas top the table with DaRandomScrubs the only U.S. entry to break the top 4.

Hell yes. FC Eintracht Bamberg beats previously unbeaten Bayern Munich II 2:1 at home.

    WHAT ???

Where's SandyBob after his beloved Man C 's effort against newly promoted Cardiff City Sardines ? (just watched it here, good game)

Whenever I've seen that Joe Hart in action, he is a complete hack and that continued on today.

How he doesn't get at the very least a fingertip on that cross that led to the 2nd Cardiff goal is beyond me.............

And he's STILL the English Keeper ???? .............he must have compromising pictures of the owner (like Clary) would be my guess. ;)

p.s. The Foxes have started off like gangbusters again I see ..........................now, can they keep it going though ?

You make very good observations Jack. I agree... except maybe for the compromising pictures part.

Mate, I'll never ever forget that goalkeeping performance of his in the World Cup back in the day .................. I've seen better "keeping" by a 12 year old down the park than what this guy has shown at times.........

Seriously amazing how he still has a gig at such a high profile club .................. and the whole English thing really just shows why English soccer is, where it is and has been for more years than anyone cares to remember.

Sad state of affairs for those poor Pom's .................... ;) (farg 'em, they have the Ashes, so thats something at least)

p.s....... did you hear the latest Cricket news by the way ???? ........... about the English lads taking a piss on the pitch during celebrations..........hahahahahaha, about what that disgrace of a wicket deserved to be honest)

Apparently Man City was looking at replacing him with Begovic from Stoke during the off season. I think only FFP considerations would have prvented them from doing so.

No I didn't catch that one. I was visiting a lady friend the other day and noticed a copy of Vanity Fair magaizine positioned as toilet entertainment. These things are generally only okay for a short stay and I found an article by Pippa Middleton which was a kind of cricket piece for the unwashed. She mentioned two terms I had never heard... (so there you go).

Golden Duck... (out on the first ball)
Diamond Duck... (out on the first ball of an inning)

FC Bundesbiers leads the season series with Al Abbas 1:0. Going for a 2-0 start this weekend. :D

Indeed... it is unfortunate. It was a real bad week. The Pitch Howlers is bound to be more competitive this year, but the head to heads versus the Bundesbiers provide added incentive.
