It has to do with some old history relating to chargers.com. The old Soccer thread was in the Off Topic section over there. Mostly there is the convenience of having this next to the general banter thread... (Nonsense and Non-Sequitors).

I have been there Nessie. Believe me.
Some of us are debating whether we won because of, or in spite of, our dopey rookie head coach.

Is everybody gone? Why is it so dead? Congrats to City/Sandolf on the title! I was glad Chelsea and United struck out!

We threw in our lot with the guys on the Packer board... (which our leader here owns as well). There's a good vibe over there for talking voetbol.

Thank you sir. It was a great feeling and a lot less tense than two years ago.

The demise of the Rags is particularly pleasing.

Good for you. Good for Wenger. We'll see you in the Community Shield!

    WHAT DA FARG ????????????

WORLD CUP peeps, if ever there's going to be a post in this BoBDole of a thread it's now !!!! :D

And figuring the Aussies and Yanks have the "wooden spoon" between them, I was hoping for a little banter about just how bad both will be made to look on the world stage !!! :(

OK, just now catching up with the Brazil/Croatia game .............

OH MY !!!!!  ........... even Louganis scored that 11/10 !!!

Now see, thats exactly WHY Soccer will never be a truly accepted legit game among worldwide sports fanatics.

That penalty awarded to Brazil was an absolute disgrace, talk about home-town decision, my God, if that's a penalty, why not save time and just hand Brazil the trophy now, let the Country party for a month (and riot) and the rest of the world can go watch something with at least an ounce of credibility and skill, without the pantomime.

Can't say that either of the other Brazilian goals were anything special either, in fact I'd go as far as to say that that Croatian goalkeeper has the eyesight the equal of Stevie Wonder and the reaction speed of a tortoise ......

Damn, hope the quality of the games improves dramatically on that farce .....................

I don't question that at all Poofessoria, simple game, enjoyed by simple people is how I'd best explain that phenomenon my good man ;)

Both the USA and Australia have indigenous games that will never be overtaken (at least in our lifetimes that is) THANK GOD.

Thought our boy's put in a fair effort against the Red Hot CHILE Peppers this morning, luckily we have 1 world class player and he alone can at least give us a punchers chance at any given time....................plays with great passion and flair, love his work.

So, who comes out of this World Cup looking the poorer mate ?

    Aussies or the USA ?

Then again, with as many Country affiliations as you have, you're probably putting a little each way on 20 of the bastages and calling them all ....... "Your Boy's"

Any Middle Eastern teams make it ? ................. or is it still Camel Racing season ????

p.s.............OH FARG !!!! ..........Algeria and Iran both made it (do you have any Honduran in you by chance ?)  ....so, what now ? ...............women Camel jockeys ?

I'd pay good coin too watch women in Burqa's, wearing goggles and flogging camels down the straight.

Not sure I could make a wager on a Camel with a jockey onboard wearing this though ...............................I also wouldn't be standing anywhere close by at ground level either. :D
