Hard for me to one better you there. Perhaps the link to the German team's Playboy pictorial... (but I can't seem to find it).
So Canada hosts the next Womens World Cup. That's cool. Any ideas on the venues/stadiums they will use? Building some new ones?
Hey... Toronto FC is on right now. CONCACAF champions league game in Toronto. Looks like real grass to me unless it's deceiving.
Dunno... apparently Toronto is out because of some conflict with the Pan Am Games. I guess looks can deceive. How is TFC doing?
Tied 0-0 against Tauro... 23rd minute. I see what appears to be divots in the grass... has to be real.
Perhaps for the Champions League they are obligated to lay sod over the turf. I know they spent $200,000 on sod when Real Madrid came to town.
League Cup 3rd Round. Leeds Utd 0 Man Utd 3 Leeds put firmly in their place by a second string Man U team. Man U had their 3rd choice keeper and a few debutants plus I believe Micheal Carrick played centre defence and was made look a natural by his opponents. Im not too optimistic of Leeds being back in the premiership any day soon, if anything we have taken a step back from last season.
No shame about being a mid-table Championship side. Certainly much better than languishing in League One. It is tough to gain promotion to the Premiership... then even harder to stay there. Cardiff, Reading and Forest had good sides last year and didn't make it. Leeds must strive to make the playoff... but there is going to be lots of competition for those spots. But even as such... you are correct. It seems very unlikely that they would progress beyond there... (if they were to make it that far).
The Championship this year is possibly the strongest its ever been. I mean there are so many big clubs in it, Southampton, Middlesborough, Reading, West Ham , Leeds, Birmingham, Leicester to name a few, throw in a club like Brighton who recently moved into a new stadium and are packing it out everyweek, then theres the likes of Blackpool, Burnley and Hull who have all been in the premiership in the last 2 seasons or so. Its such a strong league.
That's pretty much as I see it Paddy. I like Leicester in that league... but promotion is going to be tough for them too.

Man City fans have to be the funniest in the world. That's probably why I am a fan. This summer Slur Alex du Rag declined transplanted Hoser Owen Hargreaves' request to play for them for free. Today he scores after 17 min. in his debut as a Man City player. Of course immediately the chants ring out... "Fergie... Fergie... sign him up!" http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...irmingham-0-Owen-Hargreaves-scores-debut.html
hmmm... I don't know about that. I traveled a lot of places, not sure if that counts as diverse. I was upset at myself I was going to get a Steaua Bucharest jersey when I was in Romania, and I saw some at the airport when I landed, but they were gone when I left. I saw some at a store when I was shopping in town, but thought I'd get it when I had time at the airport when I left and they were gone. Seriously looking at the Euro 2012 in Poland/Ukraine for the next trip. 6 teams are in so far. Ukraine and Poland get auto spots due to being host country. Germany, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands have already punched their tickets. Russia, France, Sweeden, Croatia, Greece, Portugal seem shoe-ins... that only leaves 4 other spots. Ireland, Denmark, Hungary, Bosnia all have good chances to make it.
The CONCACAF Champions League is quite uninspiring... especially having to watch the LA Phallicy. LOL... just noticed who the coach was for the Phallicy... what a laugher.
Not following you Tyce... you mean this guy? btw... that "Cemento" shirt is very cool. I've cheered for several demento sides.
About City... this is from last year's review from the Sabotage Times... (a site I personally find quite amusing). Most inspired chant? ‘Ohh Balotelli, he is our striker, he’s good at darts, an allergy to grass but when he plays he’s f***ing class, he drives around Moss Side with a wallet full of cash’ Best laugh you had all season? The cult of Alan. Two-nil up and home and dry in a Europa League against Salzburg the Austrians brought on a Brazilian striker named….Alan. Maybe it was the arctic winds that whipped around Eastlands but soon after hysterics turned to hysteria as every touch was greeted with a rapturous cheer. Calls for a wave were granted by a clearly bemused player, and a missed chance was genuinely lamented by the City faithful. Even when Adam Johnson scored a magnificent individual third to wrap things up the chant rang out ‘Are you Alan in disguise?’ Two days later this obscure journeyman footballer had a thousand extra friends on Facebook. http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Team-news/2010/December/Alan-thanks-City-fans http://www.mcfc.co.uk/Video/Match-highlights/City-v-Salzburg-Alan
LA Galaxy (Phallicy) coach is former US mens national team coach... Bruce Arena. Never liked him. I lamented that choice when it was made. Mexican jerseys have been quite unique over the years, and I think I got a good one, and I like it too. Mexico City is an interesting place, but in this day and age, I dare not go there anymore.
I totally agree. I saw it yesterday when they posted it Facebook... dug it immediately. Love how they incorporated the Coronado Bridge.
Watching St Pauli this morning in the 2. Liga. They play Fortuna Dusseldorf in 2 weeks. Can't wait for that matchup. --------------------------------------------------- Whew... AUE wins 3-2. Leaves the door wide open for Fortuna Dusseldorf to move up to atleast 2nd on Saturday, possibly first if 1860 can defeat or draw Furth.
