I saw one Q's game at State one night after I got back from my last tour in RVN, but I was too fried to remember much.

Also saw one Rockets game at the Sports Arena at about the same time, I think...again, too fried.

    The Sails?? :icon_shrug:

Not that I know of. I remember when there was one in Clairemont, near Balboa and Convoy.

I also remember, at that same corner, when they moved the Jack in the Box from one side of the street to the other. Why, I dont know.:icon_huh:

I recall when the drive-in in PB, I think it was called Pacifica, turned into condos.

There was also a drive-in, near SDSU, that I think was called the Aztec Drive-In, which had a neon majorette spinning a long baton. They closed the drive-in, and took the neon majorette to grace a mini-mall thats there now.

My brother-in-law used to play for the SD Gulls hockey team. He used to have a photo in the Hall of Champions Museum when it was located near the Model Railroad Museum in Balboa Park. They've since moved the HOC to a much bigger location and expanded it. It's now 70,000 square feet and a cool place to visit.

The Madre Luncheons are held there now.

Trust me, that's what the nickname is. I've never heard Santucky before, but Klantee all the time. I dunno if ur from there or watever, but that's what its called. I know it's not Mississippi Burning over there, but even I have gotten **** from people there a couple times. In one of my classes we watched a documentary of the neo-Nazis in Santee. It was sad. Dat Phan from "Last Comic Standing" used to talk about it in his stand-ups. But in reality I still don't think it's really bad there.

Yep in this day and age. We still have to live with the stench of Tom Metzger  and his crew up here in North County. What a huge POS he is. Rumor has it that he moved out of state (Idaho or Montana I think) a few months ago. We've had 35+ years of his crap in Fallbrook, so I don't care what hole he crawls into, as long as he's out of my town.

I had a friend that grew up in Fallbrook. She told me her and her friends would egg his house almost weekly when she was growing up. Metzger really is a disgusting human being.

Oh yeah and the hell his two oldest daughters went through in school was unbelievable. I had a class with both of them and there was also two black girls in the class. The jerk went to the school board demanding that the two black girls be removed from his daughters class. Needless to say he was laughed out of the boardroom but the crap the girls suffered after that was hell. Lockers vandalized, being throw into dumpsters and more. It's no wonder they both moved away as fast as they could after school and won't let him see their kids.

I have to admit to being ignorant of this POS, so I checked'im out

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Metzger

Wikipedia being what it is, there's prolly volumes more, and frankly, not worth despoiling this great thread with further mention of him and his ilk.

Yeah you're right about that. He can really stink up the place with his presence. But notice on the Wiki page it only shows that he has two kids. Those are the two youngest that decided to follow his lead. He has two older daughters, Maureen and Doreen (not twins). They are the ones who basically disowned him.

So, what are the fave surf spots?? It's been over 40 years since I did any serious surfing, but in my day I was pretty decent, if I do say so.

My fave spots were the pier, the jetty, Tourmalane, and sometimes Wind'n'Sea.

Down south it was 38 1/2 and 39K.

I don't surf, but I know people who do and they say Moonlight and Swamy's in Encinitas are the best places to go up here in North County.

We used to go down to Oceanside Pier, but just to watch all the drama and the cruisers. Never on the sand though, it gets in places where sand should never be :icon_eek:

Any proper Powegian knows it's pronounced "Rancho Skin-yer-penis" due to the girls we would get from Mt. Carmel.

Anyone remember keggers at the eucalyptus grove out on Black Mountain?

How about surfing the "Blowhole" at Torrey and seeing 3-4 people all day.
