We've all got teams we just hate with a passion. The Broncos and Raiders come quickly to mind. Who are on your top three hated list... and why?
Patriots (I despise Belichick with a passion) Broncos I don't really have a 3rd. Not growing up in CA means I don't really have the anti-Raiders thing goin on, esp now that they are complete shite and a laughing stock with Al still in charge.
1. Broncos--- even with Cutler and the Rat gone... 2. Raiders--- obvious isn't it 3. Cowboys--- America's team? Bahhhhhh.
Raiders - obvious Steelers - I hate dynasties and I don't think Ben is as good as his two rings makes him look. Colts - I used to be neutral with them until I started talking to some of their fans.
See ive lived in OH in midwest my whole life and except for the squeeler fans themselves Pitts is the #1 hated team for everyone around here by far. #2 I would put Patsies and Cowgirls # 3
If you listen to the average Colts fan you'd think the Colts win the Super Bowl every year and that every team that doesn't play in Indianapolis is no better than a pop warner team. Any time the Colts lose the other team got lucky. Skill had nothing to do with it.
1. Pats 2. Steelers 3. Colts I hate Pats fans who justify the unsportsmanlike behaviour/cheating/running up the score, the bandwagon fans who didn't like them until they won the SB and are now some of the cockiest fans I've ever met. Plus Brady/Belicheck are classless pieces of ****. Steelers fans are the same way with their "it doesn't matter because we have 6 rings which is the most in the NFL". Live in the present not the past you idiots. Plus there's only one player I actually like, Polamalu. Roethlisberger is a douche. Plus, two words to rationalize my hatred: Hines Ward. Colts I just don't like
Broncos ========= 1.) They ended Jamal's season in 2002 with a freaking cheap shot at his knees from behind. We won that game and went 8-4, but lost the remaining 4 without him, finished 8-8 and missed the playoffs. 2.) They are our only real competition right now in the division. 3.) The Rivers vs. Cutler situation where some Donk fans still refuse to acknowledge that Cutler was a puss and that Rivers is the best QB in the division. Raiders ========== No explanation necessary Cowboys ========== 1.) Jerry Jones and his arrogance 2.) Tony Romo and his slobbering over by the national media whores. 3.) Still being called America's Team when they haven't won even a playoff game in 12+ years.
#3--Giants: Overrated trash that caught lightning in a bottle and use it as an excuse to overshadow a mediocore franchise. #2--Broncos: Arrogant talkers who were blessed with Elway and Davis for a couple of years and have the nerve to think that their franchise is even close to ours in terms of competence. #1--Patriots: Living in the N-East, I can say with certainty that pats fans are arrogant bandwagoners who cannot even name 3 of their offensive linemen. Add in spygate, a coach who gets far too much credit, and a QB who is about as interesting as drywall, and I have grown up with a hatred of the Pats .
Oakland is sure the most hated team. "Flatnose" Plunkett crushed Dan Fout's team SB run and they still like the "dirty" play Number two in our times are the New England Patriots. They won too much SBs in a short period of time and they released the Cowboys from being America's Team and being my negative No. 2. (I have to confess, I liked Brady in SB 36 over St. Louis, because I wanted to avoid a dynasty. Today I know I was on the wrong side) This year number 3 are the Steelers. I thank the wise men of the NFL to build a sportsleague on parity. (When a team hasn't got a SB I probably will be a supporter.) So nowadays Pittsburgh has just too many Lombardis. But I was a big fan of Pittsburgh over Dallas games. (Thanks for the poll)
Honorable mention to the Steelers, for sure. Their fans routinely call in to NY sports radio shows about how great Big Ben is, how the team doesn't get enough respect, how its talent level is unmatched, and how the media never gives them credit, etc. Want to know what these fans are saying now after losing to the Browns? I would tell you if I knew, since I have yet to hear a single one since that game.
All teams have smug fans, and most all fans can be a bit smug at times when their team is winning, but I have never seen or heard it at the level the Colts fans take it to, nor have I seen it as widespread amongst the fan base. Say what you will about Patriots, Steelers, Raiders (when they're winning), Cowboys, or any other team's fans, they will to some extent acknowledge the talent level of other teams. (Even if they try and argue that their team is better...which is natural to some extent) I've tried to have a mutual conversation with a Colts fan on many occasions in which I acknowledge the Colts as a good team that would pose a serious threat to the Chargers and annotate that it'd be a good, tough game only to be met with a response about how lucky the Chargers are to even be in position to make the playoffs and how they can't carry Indy's jockstrap.
Since fans have been mentioned... Dolphins and Eagles have some of the worst fans I've ever seen. Out of two home games I've attended against the Dolphins... I'm not exaggerating when I say "they were right up there with Raiders fans."
Interesting. I've never been to a Dolphins game so I can't say anything, but that does surprise me. Not so much the Eagles fans.
#1- Easily the Minute (as in very small) men from New England. I don't know what year but I do remember a cheap shot on Stan Humphries that started my hatred. Then dancing on the lightning bolt mid-field, followed by spygate. #2-Denver Doncos. We were lookin' for a run in '02 and then there was a ceap shot to end Jamal's season and any hope for a play-off spot. Continued "questionable" blocking tactics that have ended more carriers than any other team in the league. The Rat sucks!!! #3-Suprisingly it's not the Faiders. It has to be the Titans. The "hit" ordered by Fischer put Merriman out at least one season and I can only assume cost our team a number of victories. Later
I can say I hated the Chiefs in the 90s cause I got so sick of ESPN talking about them like they were Super Bowl contenders. Fact is... without Neil Smith and Derrik Thomas (bless his heart), they would have sucked. Marcus Allen ran well for an old guy and Montana was a nice addition but the rest of their talent was very mediocre.
DITTO, but my order is Denver, Pats then Raiders (They suck so bad it's hard to hate them as much)... I will admit being a closet Steve Grogan fan back in the day (Ducks)... I also thought the "Orange Crush" was a cool defensive moniker (Ducks again)...
I'd have to say that my hate towards the other teams in our division has died down in the last few years. However I really hate the Pats and Steelers. Those to me are our true rivals since they are the ones that have stood in our way of a superbowl.
Wow--- most of the hate seems to stay within the division. Bellichick and the Skirt-Wearing Patsies are also high on my list... that SOB cost me two fantasy wins by just being the A$$ that he is.
I had to vote for four teams.... these three and also the Patsies. Followed closely by the Squeelers and Giants.
