who would it be? (from those that could be candidates, not Riley or Gilbride) Dennis Greene?, Wade Phillips? Josh McDaniels?
I have to admit, I'd see Jeff Fischer as another re-tread option. I would have liked him over Norv, hell anyone 5 years ago, but now he is right off the racks of discount tires. Not to mention, he'd likely come here with AJ still in place, that is my prediction with the buffoon Spanos family.
Bobby Petrino or Nick Saban - because they would quit after a season or less, to return to the college coaching ranks...
Why? As for Billick, he was quoted saying that he's too expensive for the Jags so the same is likely for San Diego.
I can see it being a bad situation if AJ does the hiring. Then again, I don't know if Deano could make a better decision or not. Could be another wild ride on the back of Mr. Toad.
There is nothing in jax for him, Chargers have a franchise qb in his prime (maybe not this season). Billick would come here with AJ in place.
It would seem that whoever gets the job as HC, it will only inspire different haters of the pick. There is no perfect choice for a HC, unless it's a proven successful guy like the "hoodie" or the "Chin"... IMHO
I have never beat the fire Norv, and Fire AJ drum, until about now... I guess I will be a lame Charger fan, and hope for the miracle of miracle comebacks... To be honest it will be hard to be excited about these last 6 games, because the playoffs, and a chance at a championship is what keeps you alive as a fan during the season. (barring a total re-build team, which we are not) However, I cannot pretend to be knowledgeable on who should be the next coach, heck I am just a fan, not an NFL exec, but what we have is appearing to not be successful in the ultimate goal, a SB. Even if it was someone like Cowher, or Gruden, no former Superbowl coach has ever one another superbowl with another team. That includes, Jimmy Johnson, and Bill Parcells. I guess there is a first time for anything.
I'll define a nightmare as something that will keep me up worrying about. So I'll skip all the names that I don't think have a chance and consider Wade Phillips my worst nightmare. I would not be surprised at all if AJ brought him back and I don't think he would have ANY chance to win over this locker room.
As if it wasn't bad enough amongst the fans, there might be something else afoot here.
