Have any of you heard any speculation on whether next weekend's playoff game at the Q will be on Saturday or Sunday??

Now, this is a huge IF on my behalf, but several of us are thinking of POTENTIALLY taking a roadie IF CERTAIN THINGS HAPPEN SUNDAY, LOL !!

It really doesn't seem fair for the game to be on Saturday, since Cleveland or Tennessee won't even know their fates until midnight Sunday. However, people are really hyping the potential Jacksonville-Pittsburgh game and I could see that one grabbing the Sunday afternoon timeslot if the matchup works out that way, which would push the San Diego game to Saturday night.

Just wanted to see if you guys had any insight or even rumor on the San Diego timeslot.

    Hell,

It looks like it may be late Sunday Night before any determination will be made. Thanks Ant.

The NFL is apparently being rather cagey about this. It has to do with traveling schedules and the and the off time between games.

I read that somewhere as well. At best it is educated speculation. :icon_shrug:

4 New England Patriots (East winner) New York Giants (East winner)
5 Jacksonville Jaguars // Carolina Panthers
6 Pittsburgh Steelers // Washington Redskins
    ==========================================
    1 Wild Card playoffs
    1.1 Saturday January 7, 2006
1.1.1 NFC: Washington Redskins 17, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 10
1.1.2 AFC: New England Patriots 28, Jacksonville Jaguars 3

Tampa and washington were the #3 and #6 and played saturday in 05. But look at the AFC....new england and jax played on saturday at #4 and #5...so its a toss up...i say we play on saturday because of the popularity of the jags and steelers...

My guess would be that they'll put the "best" game in primetime Saturday. I would bet on J'ville/Pittsburgh on Sat. night and Chargers/Titans or Browns on Sunday afternoon.

If it's Tennessee, I really hope it's Saturday. A West Coast roadie on a short week is just what the Doctor ordered.

I don't think it's as tough going from east to west as it is going west to east.

Thinking back to our previous playoff games...I don't think we have ever had a Saturday game. It has always been Sunday.

The Titans west coast record would beg to differ, but in theory you would be right.

I hope the Colts use this opportunity to knock the Titans out so we don't have to worry about it.

Last night the NFL network said that Manning will play a lot because Harrison is back. They need to work on continuity.

Dungy said that Manning would play, at most, the first half.

I really hope it's Sunday because I gotta work friday and saturday night. A Saturday game from me means either no sleep or no tailgating.

I wonder if Shaun Phillips still has those playoff tix available to the Titans players. After all, he did say they weren't going to be participating in the playoffs.

I still hate that he said it. Although, I also think Indy's gonna beat 'em and the Browns will get in. So he probably won't have to eat his words.

Bring on the BROWNS...I want no part of Tennesee again...I'd be willing to bet that Marcus McNiel doesn't want any of that either.

Hey... this is how I've gotten through this season. Last season was pure belief that we were unstoppable. This year, umm... not so much. I drank the Norval-Aid but apparently it still doesn't pack enough punch to get me into the Pure Believers Club. I can't suffer another letdown like last year. That one ripped my heart out. I only get burned by the biitch once.

Paranoid... I like that. Think I'll stick with it awhile. :icon_eek::abq2:
