Bills history is definitely pushing it - this isn't the 90s defense with Bennett and Smith that I remember. Still Stroud and Johnson will bring some beef back to the Bills, undersized is nice but it doesn't work as well unless your entire team defense concept is speed.

As for Demorrio Williams, the Chiefs got the best player they could actually CONVINCE to come to KC and play under Herm Edwards....snicker

For me it's a spectacle akin to watching a car wreck in a good chase movie like Ronin. Fun to watch, but glad we're not involved as more than spectators, watching other people dent their chassis. Just one or two items for us from the wrecking yard at a good price.

Reading some rumors on the internet about Ben Roethlisberger signing an 8 year, 102 million dollar extensions.......

If this is true, look for Rivers to get something in the same range when we resign him.

    Two new rumors

Rumor that the Eagles want to acquire Larry Fitzgerald for a gaggle of stuff including a first rounder + CB Lito Sheppard

The New York Jets and Cincinnati Bengals have agreed to terms on a trade that would send defensive tackle Dewayne Robertson to the Bengals in exchange for Cincinnati's fourth- and fifth-round picks (Nos. 114 and 151) in the upcoming draft, according to league sources.

Our receiver corps is fine, we need beef and if we go after anyone it would have to be a good RT or Guard. Jackson, Chambers, Davis, Gates, Parker, Nanee, etc. will be nails this season. If a worthwhile corner appears, maybe, but not until we get at least one lineman who will develop into an upper echelon starter.

I mentioned a page or so ago that the Bengals traded for DT Dewayne RObertson from the Jets, that deal fell apart so its no longer happening

Fox Sports reported though that the Bengals did sign DE Antwaan Odom from the titans

Really?! I'm ok with Whitehurst and Parker, but it'd be selling low for both. But Wilhelm? I hope there's a future superstar he REALLY likes if he's gonna lose a solid starter for a draft pick.

Wow! He must feel damn good about one of our backup LB's or is interested in someone like Dan Connors.

Any thoughts on which team might bite if this is true? :icon_shrug:

Whitehurst - Miami, Oakland, Arizona perhaps, Tampa
Wilhelm - Detroit, NY Jets, NY Giants, New Orleans, Washington
Parker - Arizona, Buffalo, Tennessee, San Francisco, Tampa Bay

Wanted to throw a few more possible vet names; Jeromey Clary, Mike Goff, Luis Castillo?, Clinton Hart (if can't get a deal done)

Nothing to these places but they seem to have needs at those positions

and maybe he's more confident in Anthony Waters but then again Wilhelm finally started to play correctly midway through the season, why trade him then? Especially since your not sure what you'll get out of Waters and your even less sure what Derek Smith has in hte tank

I'm glad AJ doesn't play the FA game and would rather build from the draft and un-drafted young players. So far I can't see a thing wrong with what hes done with this team.

I can see it now, Castillo gettin traded while he's in AFghan. I think many of us overrated Wilhelm. Hes just an average LB. He doesnt tackle well. I would put him on the block.

I've been an scout.com insider for almost 2yrs man, I'm just quoting the article.

I dont believe he'll actually move any of them because offers wont be high enough, but if he does I think we could get a stock of 4th round picks for all of them. That being said, I think we should stock up on 4th or 5th rounders (including comps) and use them to move up to get players we need, that arn't expected to last till the second day.
