DISCLAIMER: This is assuming the NFL keeps to its current schedule rotation, it could change.

This is going to be TOUGH. We draw the AFC East, the NFC North, and the 2nd place teams in the AFC South and AFC North.

    HOME:

    Baltimore (2nd in AFCN)
    Buffalo
    Miami
    Green Bay
    Minnessota
    Denver
    Kansas City
    Oakland

    AWAY:

    Jacksonville (2nd in AFCS)
    New England
    NY Jets
    Chicago
    Detroit
    Denver
    Kansas City
    Oakland

How many games do we win?

There's no telling what these teams will look like when we play them next year.

This time last year we all thought the Bengals game was supposed to be a tough opponent, but then we went into it facing a 3 win team for instance....then they beat us anyways, but that's a different conversation.

Should be a cake schedule since our guys play the way the should against good teams and like crap against crappy ones. With that I see at least 11 wins.

I will take Jax early in the season. I will be at this one and I can't handle the cold winters in Jax.

    Easy Predictions.

Slow Start followed by claims from Norv saying this team is the greatest ever. Thus a Meltdown and pointing fingers and missed playoffs. Ending with Norv getting a 5 year extension. Its already done.

And then 20,000 posts from JohnnyX and Norv4Life (or nomorenorv if he gets his old name back) all saying the same thing.

Considering I thought that we could have been undefeated until week 8 or 9 this year. I'm not saying anything!

That is if there is any football in 2011. If the new CBA is not ratified by March, there will be no football in '11.

Or at least it won't be a full season.

My question is, will the Chargers wait for the CBA issues to be resolved before they sign any of our free agents, or any other free agents? And if so, this could be an agonizing off season, although it might be anyways since we don't touch free agents, yet we have 10-15 roster spots to fill

They have to wait or sign them before March and risk complications. If the CBA is not ratified in March, there is no free agency, no tags nothing. Just straight contracts. Signed players or unsigned players.

If this team doesn't get much better during the off-season with BOTH draft and Free Agents, that is an 8-9 win season.

My lawyer made me say this: "I refuse to respond to this thread as it may be used against me this time next year to make me look like a *******" et al...

    No.

An example upcoming is the franchise tag window which is set for February 2011. I have read players on other teams would sign the f-tag in a heartbeat. The expiration of the CBA does not negate a contract signed in February 2011 by my reads. A contract is a contract pretty much.

Another example was Marcus McNeil. The Chargers used the excuse of uncertainty in the upcoming CBA but then changed their tune in midstroke and did a wink nod deal with McNeil. Too many good players can be lost so I think teams are going to be proactive to keep their rosters from getting pillaged (look at Revis Island as another example).

I think I answered that with what has already happened. Why would it change is my point. It has ALREADY happened.

It has happened with a couple franchise players, but does it happen with the lesser players?

It seems we play up or down to our schedule every year so I see next year's schedule no different.

Here are the HOME LOSSES: Baltimore Ravens, Green Bay Packers, Oakland Raiders.
Here are the AWAY LOSSES: Detriot Lions, New York Jets (the Lions game is a shocker)

That gives us an 11-5 season.

Oh....I was not thinking about the FA scrubs....

I would think the FA's who are not quite franchise type studs are treated the same way they have always been treated - as expendable. Then we get to cherry pick who gets released but now it is a bidding war with no salary cap in place.

We have like 23 free agents, and only 6 draft picks, so we will need to either re-sign many of our guys, or sign other free agents, and if they wait until to late i nthe off season, we will only end up with scrubs like Tra Thomas like we got last year

No way we beat the Pats in New England. No way. Pats are a GREAT home team, and we are a so-so road team. We ain't losing to Minny at home, and may not even lose to the Pack either. I'd at least switch the Minny and Pats games on your prediction list.

NE: I don't care what anyone thinks we matchup well with the Patriots. We always give them a tough go because we run the right particular schemes that expose their weaknesses. This will be one of those poster wins we have once a year.

    MIN: AP will trample us.

GB: I guess can see us beating them too, for the same reason I gave for the Pats.
