3-5 at the bye is total BS. The defense just isn't playing up to par, we need Merriman, no matter what anyone might think.
QB's are eating us alive. We can't cover the f**king Tight Ends on teams. We have 2 more guaranteed losses at the very least.

As I said once before in another thread, the first 2 losses against Carolina, and Denver put us in a hole that we cannot get out.

No way we go 7-1, or 8-0 the rest of the year to be 10-6, or 11-5. I am so f**king disgusted. :icon_evil:

Probably oughta throw in a few penalties and a 4th-quarter INT as well so it's more like 40-7

How badly would we have got our a**es kicked if Bush were playing?

Indeed Holy B. The Saints were definitely beatable by the standard of last year's Bolts.

    2-1 at home

1-4 on the road in the first half of the season. Terrible road record.

Now we got 5 home games, and only 3 road games for the rest of the year, but the road games in Pittsburgh, and Tampa are killers.

6-2 won't do it, it's 7-1 or bust. And that's with the Broncos losing a few more games.

Dear fellow Boltheads... why the BLEEP are we making predictions???

Let's take it ONE game at a time. Don't start losing faith in the our Chargers just yet. If we spend all our time and energy focusing on the current week and the current opponent we'd be more productive as fans. Let's leaving the predictions for the idiotic media pundits.

    Let's go Chargers!

Sure we need a healthy Merriman but ABSOLUTELY NO WAY would he be a cure all for what ails our defense.

He is one out of 11. He would help but there are many problems.

IMHO it is a combination of undermotivated players, terrible scheme, poor coaching, and no agressiveness whatsoever.

Let's hope when Merriman comes back next year that he is healthy and we have a new DC and a new defensive philosophy.:bolt:

    GO CHARGERS!

Like I said, Merriman's ego and selfishness has cost us more than anything and AJ letting him skate didn't help either.

Well, they better figure out what to do without him anyway, especially if he's not going to be a charger later on. Personally, I don't blame much on Shawne. He's not even playing. What happened to "That Other Guy"? Waters, Siler, Cooper, etc...What's Rivera doing? I thought he was a smart guy with this stuff???

Other teams focus on Merriman, and the other guys get freed up, and it helps thier play. He also fires them up. You can't argue with his stats.

Thank the football gods that big fat Teddy C got fired:tup:
