that's why i said "no REAL chance"
Pitt lost one of their AFC games, if they lose another and we win one more then we can overshoot htem for the #3 spot

We already overshot them. All we have to do is win out. You could make a living out of being wrong. :icon_tease:

yes, but if the Chargers win out they'll be 11-5 (9-3 in conf.)

the steelers (or browns) if they win out would be 11-5 (8-4 conf.)

since no head to head vs Pittsburgh or Cleveland then the Chargers are the 3rd seed.

We have two conference games left
Pittsburgh has one (The Ravens) and have lost one already

Its simple - beat the donkies and the turds and we get the #3 seat.

If I was an NFL Team, I would not want to play us any time soon. We seem to be coming into our own right now, just like AJ planned it...........:abq2:

I think we smoke 'em all straight through to the Lombardi. :abq2:

Right now I'm just happy we got to this point and don't really care about which seed as long as we win our playoff game...it would be preferable to play at home...but I just want to win.

Quite right - I'll dance with whoever shows up on our card!

We do seem to be peaking at the right time. JAX is doing the same. If we play them again, it's gonna be another tough game. But this time, it'll be in OUR house.

It really doesn't matter where we end up as far as seeding goes, sure one road may look easier than the other, but is it? I see the Lombardi as the goal but we would have to win PO games first to reach the big show.

We need to win our first PO game, then see where we end up.

I like it the way the playoff brackets are right now. The Browns come here and we win advancing to Indy. Meanwhile Jacksonville beats Pittsburg then goes to NE and puts half of the Pats in the hospital.

AFC title game is either Jax @ SD or SD @ a beat up NE.

I want to upset the Patriots in their crib.

The Holy Roller festered for decades.

We need to put this one to bed quickly.

The cancer of the Patriots and our playoff loss to them can ONLY be avenged by whipping their *** in the playoffs.

A Home Game would be cool........Way cool but I want some payback.

    You got that right.

If I remember correctly, we ended a Cowboys undefeated season when they had Aikman, Emmit, and company also.

As much as I would relish a home AFC Championship game here, the above would indeed be my dream scenario for this year.

We win 6 games in a row and we have done it.

One game at a time. :bolt:

3rd seed. This is a no brainer. We get cleveland instead of jacksonville. I know the browns are good offensively, but we can beat these guys. We can also win in the dome. I'd much rather be playing in dry, normal conditions than be playing in snow or sleet or rain.... that's ridiculous to even think that we'd somehow have an advantage in a snow game.

Secondly, or thirdly, Jacksonville is on a roll and they can go up to NE and beat the patriots because the pats are being played hard every week by every team. They are going into the playoffs physically and emotionally drained. The unbeaten hoopla is going to show how much it's worn them down. They are ripe to be beaten by the jags up there who are now confident that they can win a bad weather game.

I look forward to the championship game in san diego against the jags. I think after a horrible start and lost hopes, this could turn out to be 'the year'. We have a very good chance.

I don't think it's ridiculous at all. I'd much rather play the Pats in a snowstorm than on a sunny day. Bad weather would negate alot of the deep ball threat. And without that, their offense is pretty average. They just don't run it consistently.

With all the dinosaurs the Pats have on defense, I think we'd have a big advantage in a cold game. Anyone with chronic joint pain knows that cold and moisture=more pain. If the Pats defenders like Seau, Vrabel, Bruschi and Harrison are stiff and hurting, then our younger, healthier lineman could have a field day.
