SAN DIEGO (AP)-The San Diego Chargers say their exhibition finale against the San Francisco 49ers on Friday night will be blacked out on local TV.

The game wasn't close to being a sellout more than 72 hours prior to kickoff, with approximately 7,000 general-admission tickets remaining Tuesday.

The Chargers' exhibition opener against Seattle also was blacked out when some 6,000 general-admission tickets remained unsold.

Until that game, the Chargers hadn't had an exhibition blackout since 2006. The team has warned fans that there could be regular-season blackouts. The Chargers haven't had a regular-season game blacked out since 2004.
