So we will have to carry dead weight into the regular season. It's going to cost us some young talent. Whats the final roster look like now? Here's my shot:

QB - Rivers, Whitehurst - Lee to PS
RB - Mathews, Brown, Battle - Baker to PS
    FB - McClain, Hester
WR - Floyd, Meacham, Brown, Royal, Spurlock - Willie to PS
TE - Gates, McMichael, Rosario, Green
LT - Gaither, Harris, Vet signing
LG - Tyrone Green, Rex Hadnot
C - Nick Hardwick, David Molk
    RG - Louis Vazquez, (Rex)
RT - Jeremy Clary, Mario Henderson - Charlie Bryant to PS

    K - Nate Kaeding
    P - Mike Scifres
    LS - Mike Windt

    PR - (Royal), (Spurlock), (Gilchrist)
    KR - (Goodman), (Spurlock), (Royal)

LDE - Vaughn Martin, Antonio Garay
NT - Aubrayo Franklin, Cam Thomas
RDE - Corey Liuget, Kendall Reyes
LOLB - Shaun Phillips,Larry English - Ricky Elmore to PS
    LILB -Takeo Spikes, Jonas Mouton
    RILB -Donald Butler, Demorrio Williams
ROLB - Jarret Johnson, Melvin Ingram, Antwan Barnes
CB - Quentin Jammer, Antoine Cason, Shareece Wright, Marcus Gilchrist, De'Andre Presley - Gatson and Hobbs to PS
FS - Eric Weddle, Corey Lynch
SS - Atari Bigby, Brandon Taylor - Sean Cattouse to PS

If my numbers are correct that is 53 + 8 PS. In this version due to injuries we carry Presley to play CB expecting at least 1 corner to be back from injury by game 1. As soon as the rest are reasy, Presley will go down to PS and Hobbs would get booted. Willie loses a roster spot to us carrying injured players into the season, may make his way onto main team due to injury later. I have us signing a veteran LT to carry us through until Gaither is ready to play, may bump Mike Harris to PS when he does get healthy. Jacques loses a spot to youth and injuries. Gachkar loses his ST spot due to injuries. Stuckey is the shocking cut, losing his spot to Corey Lynch who has outplayed him on ST's.

Seeking very good friend to help me with a problem ill be having this year. PM me about it, eventualy ill respond to in when I get a Inet access available to me.

I hope he does, considering I did hear that the NYJ will sit both Sanchez and Tebow for the last Pseason game. Id imagine that it will be something most teams will do.

With the Players Association approving the 2 new rules this week, it helps our situation. First rule moves the trade deadline to week 8 from week 6. Second new rule allows a player with a "Major" injury (6 weeks out or more) to be placed on IR to start season and can rejoin the team anytime after 6 weeks when they are healthy. It's going to allow us to IR VB for 8 weeks or so, carry another player, and we will put VB back on the team when he is ready. Gachkar, Goodman, Stuckey, or Lynch just got a roster spot due to this new rule.

edit: Just read that they can only bring back 1 player from IR per year.

2nd edit: Appears that the player has to be put on IR on/or after Sept. 4th which means we have to keep him on the roster for the cuts, wait till the 4th, IR him, move someone back from the PS to the main roster, and sign one of the other cuts to the PS then. Or they just outright cut someone and inform them they plan to sign them again on the 4th.

But you accounted for that in the "vet signing part of you're projection.

Now whats really going to help us, is that we dont have to carry V Brown on the active roster any more, which opens up another spot.

I'd say on you're roster, Henderson gets cut, Brown is out and I'm sure Pressley gets replaced with a Veteran CB also, like the Vasher signing a few years ago.

Love to see Henderson go and a solid journeyman type Tackle get signed. Brown moving out makes room for a 5th corner, if they can find a solid vet, sign him and put Presley on the PS.

No, Pressley going to the PS makes room for the 5th corner, since thats what you had him at....lol

Yah but my assumption is Gachkar, Goodman, or Stuckey will take the extra spot, and Presley would go to the PS when a Vet is signed.

Nah, he's a practice squad guy. He's a very good athlete, and you gotta remember, he's only played CB since halfway his Sr. Season in college (last year), so he hasent even been a CB for a year

He was always going to be a PS guy........ the guy was a QB from heaven's sake. Nobody learns the CB position that fast. Look at Cason. ;)

Done as in never going to see a snap in the NFL. I'd hope the Chargers find a better corner if/while he's stashed on the PS (unless the guy is the quickest learning CB in NFL history).

    I'll give it a whirl:

    Position battle winners:
CB Gatson, Gregory--beats out Presley and Hobbs
ILB Gachkar, Andrew--over Bird, though I'll hedge my bet here by saying that Bird's played better this preseason
C Baxter, Colin--over Molk. Think of it this way: they're about equal in talent and Molk can go PS while Baxter isn't eligible cause he was active too often last year.
WR Goodman, Richard--Over Willie. Goodman (& Willie) sealed the deal last night imo.

    Depth decisions
RB Battle, Jackie--Kept mainly due to Mathews injury
FS Lynch, Corey--Can back up both safeties.
FS Stuckey, Darrell--On the bubble. Could cut him to keep a guy like Green or Bird on the roster.

    Near locks
NT Cam Thomas--Should be a lock really. Just hedging my bets lol

    Locks
    QB Rivers, Philip
    QB Whitehurst, Charlie
    RB Mathews, Ryan
    RB Brown, Ronnie
    FB McClain, LeRon
    FB Hester, Jacob
    LT Gaither, Jared
    LT Harris, Michael
    LG Green, Tyronne
    LG Hadnot, Rex
    C Hardwick, Nick
    RG Vasquez, Louis
    RT Clary, Jeromey
    TE Gates, Antonio
    TE McMichael, Randy
    TE Rosario, Dante
    WR Meacham, Robert
    WR Floyd, Malcolm
    WR Royal, Eddie
    WR Brown, Vincent
    WR Spurlock, Michael

    CB Cason, Antoine
    CB Jammer, Quentin
    CB Wright, Shareece
    CB Gilchrist, Marcus
    FS Weddle, Eric
    SS Biby, Atari
    SS Taylor, Brandon
    DE Martin , Vaughn
    DE Liuget, Corey
    DE Reyes, Kendall
    NT Garay, Antonio
    NT Franklin, Aubrayo
    ILB Butler, Donald
    ILB Spikes, Takeo
    ILB Williams, Demorrio
    ILB Mouton, Jonas
    OLB Phillips, Shaun
    OLB Johnson, Jarret
    OLB Barnes, Antwan
    OLB Ingram, Melvin
    OLB English, Larry

    K Kaeding, Nate
    LS Windt, Mike
    P Scifres, Mike

    Practice squad
Elmore, Ricky--Showed some burst on pass rush before they had him dropping into coverage
    Molk, David--see above comment
Green, Ladarius--Might be protected on 53 man, but injuries to others have made him vulnerable
    Willie, Michael
    Lee, Jarrett
    Presley, De'Andre--Over Hobbs.
Harrell, Logan--Need some backup at DE and he's showed some promise.
    Baker, Edwin

    Bubble-out
Bront Bird--Great preseason. Wouldn't be surprised if they found a way to keep him.

The bubble for the 49th-53rd spots is, imo:
    Battle
    Bird
    Gach
    Stuckey
    L. Green
    Lynch
    Baker
