I found this beautiful winter poem and thought it might be a comfort to those of you in the colder parts of the USA.

It was to me and it's very well written. ENJOY!

Tonight: A chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 6. Wind chill values between -8 and -13. Breezy, with a west wind between 18 and 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

    So cold, so very cold.

This is why I didn't move in Connecticut. The money was really good, but not that good.

There ain't enough money in the UNIVERSE to get me to move to Connecticut. Or anywhere else where people are expected to leave the warmth of their own fireside, go to work or school, and carry on with their appointed rounds when it's less than 20 degrees out:tdown:

I'll admit it, I'm a weenie when it comes to cold weather. I grew up in Ramona, where it's 80 degrees in February sometimes, so even the relatively mild Oregon winters are too chilly for my taste. The worst it ever gets here is the single digits, and that's very rare, maybe only once every 10 years or so; but every so often we'll get a cold snap where it doesn't get above freezing for a week or two, and all I want to do is crawl under five blankets and not come out until summer!

I feel for y'all who are freezing your baguettes off in colder climes.........try to stay warm, 'K?

Don't try it. It's not worth the time.
