9000 tickets, 4 days baring extension...

Apparently the Chargers do not have confidence they will sell out...

Get you Chargers/Fins tix NOW before the good locations are gone. I don't think you will be watching this one on TV in SoCal. #boltup

Damn that's a lot of tickets. I'll be shocked if this one sells out. Hopefully it's a sign people are finally getting fed up, though I doubt it. More likely it's a sign of the Dolphins record and their fans not wanting to pony up to see them.

I know the game yesterday was "technically" a sellout but man there were a ton of empty seats.

I thought so. When ever they panned over the players on the sidelines it looked like the lower sections were empty.

There were far more fans on the home side (including field level). The second level (loge) on the visitor side had a couple sections empty save a few scattered people. It's been a while since I've seen it look that sparsely populated.

Who bought up the seats that were empty?

Probably the local tv station or some of the sponsors to get their ads on local tv. Sometimes they will give away the purchased tickets or eat them, I really don't know the truth of it, it's only speculation on my part. For the Vikings game I think one of the local banks bought a few thousand then gave them out to Military families (happens a lot here w/ the large Military pop.)

Would the Chargers organization possibly buy up their own tickets?

Big number: 7,200 tix must be sold to avoid blackout of Sunday's game. This one truly will take a miracle.

I wasn't referring to myself........ I was merely posting the likelihood of a blackout this week.

Vikings and Chiefs games sold out regular style....no sponsors or corporate donors.
