I would like to see us bring him in for a look. He's 35, and won't be expensive...and I see him as an immediate upgrade to Goff at RG, while Goff would provide excellent depth. He's been a road grader for a long time and would also add excellent leadership to our young line. Just another low profile move that could pay off nicely. Not sure if this is something AJ is considering.

Seeing how Donnie has been so busy flying all over for visits with other teams, it looks like AJ was on to something. Besides, from what I have seen, "AJ type" players are resigned long term, don't ***** to the media, and go to the Pro Bowl. You are right that Donnie doesn't fit that mold.

Goff is underrated. He's a solid vet, a leader and a pretty good pulling guard. How many of LT's runs to the left came after Goff pulled through the hole and popped somebody?

Goff is not a pro bowler. He's not Dielman, but honestly, I don't want to mess with the continuity of this line right now. These guys play very well together. Clearly, the weakest player is Olivea, but even he is not as bad as some of you make him out to be.

Totally agree, Goff gets a bad rap among Charger fans. He's tough, you can depend on him to be in the lineup, he's affordable, and has a great rapport with the other O-linemen.

You're just asking for trouble trying to replace him with some 35-year-old guy who might not fit in.

Goff is the Veteran Leader of the line. Goff is very good pulling, esp. to the left when they run off tackle or into the LG/LT gap.

People just like to hate, which I'm fine with. Personally, I hate Quentin Jammer, but what are you gonna do?

I remember in the game at KC 2 seasons ago there was shot of the Bolts walking in and the KC fans raining abuse down on them. Goff is justt looking up from side to side smiling at them swaggering in. Swagger, and the ability to back it up are fine qualities in a football player.:icon_toast: I really like the way the line is playing together now, and i'm content to try keeping it that way.

    Lash Out:helm1:
