    Jet at Bengals
    Ravens at Patriots

I say both road teams win. So we'll be facing the Ravens in a rematch game.

Let me start off with saying that I don't think there is a team in the NFL that can stop us.

With that said, I'd feel much more confident playing against New England (without Welker) or Cincinnati. There is something about Baltimore that scares me (probably just lingering feelings from our loss early in the year. I know we're a completely different team and they just barely beat us back than, but I'm still a little scared). New York, if they make it to the next round, is going to be extremely confident after beating Indianapolis and Cincinatti. Plus, they're running game is amazing, and they have the best defense and corner in the league.

The Bungles have no offense, and the Cheats have no Welker or D.

We play the Patriots next week at home.

Actually, don't they reset the brackets after the wildcard round? So, as the #6 seed, if the Ravens win then they would play Indy and we would play the winner of Jets/Bengals.

The Colts play the lowest seeded surviving team, we play the highest.

If that happens we get the Jets.

I don't like the notion of Revis on Jackson.

But I like the fact that Rivers still knows how to spread it around and Revis can't cover everyone.

I am also leaning towards the road teams in the wild card round.
The #5 seed Jets beat the #4 seed Bengals
The #6 seed Ravens beat (and beat up) the #3 seed Patriots

This would send the Jets to us and the Ravens to Indy.

Just maybe, we take care of business AND the Colts tank and the AFC Championship game is played in San Diego!!!

Chargers, get healthy and get ready!!!!

Stop the Jets rushing attack, make Sanchez beat us. We do that, and we can win with less than 17 points IMO.

Shut down Jackson, just throw it to Gates, or Floyd, or Sproles out of the backfield, etc. We can take them. PR isn't a turnover machine like Sanchez.

Bengals just flat out got their asses kicked on sunday night by the Jets.

I welcome the Jets in our house.

Exactly. We could get the Jets, but not likely.

I'll say it's about 80% that we get the Pats. Now that's a game I gotta get tickets to! :icon_beerbang:

Bengals have nothing, Jets will win and goto Indy.

Patriots at home are too good for the Ravens, they will be coming to SD.

It will be a San Diego Jets AFC Championship in SD.

I just don't see Sanchez driving the Jets in the playoffs. I'm just not impressed.

I see the Bengals coming here and then the Ravens coming here for the AFC Champ game.

Did u not see last night's game?. Yes the Bengals may not have had all that much to play for but jeeeeeeeez they were downright bullied. Against teams like the Bengals Sanchez has to do sweet FA, against Indy and us the world will find out about him. I think they have enough to beat Indy too, esp on the ground.

Well, there are only two teams on a winning streak coming into the playoffs. And we don't play one of them!

I think Cinny & Balt find a way to move into the 2nd round.

Yeah they fielded their entire offense minus Benson and couldn't move the ball. When Benson does return, they'll simply stack the box and play man coverage. Sanchez doesn't impress, but that Bengal D seems to have peaked already and can't stop anyone.

The Bengals D is much better than they displayed in New York.

Furthermore, their WRs aren't going to be dropping every other pass next Saturday.

Anybody who's expecting a repeat performance of yesterday is fooling themselves.

Let's not forget this is the same team that nearly beat us in our own home.

With the exception of that game against us, their offense hasn't exactly been lighting it up over the last month. They struggled big time vs. a pretty weak KC defense and set a new standard in offensive ineptitude last night. This is a case of good defense winning over an average offense.

Right. But they've proven they are fully capable.

They didn't have nearly as much on the line as the Jets did going into that game, the outcome isn't overly shocking.

Expect a close game next week is all I'm saying.

I for one will be rooting heavily for the Ravens this week. Of the 3 teams who have a chance of playing the Colts in the second round, the Ravens have the best chance of beating them.

Given the system, there is no chance of the Patriots going to Indy in the second round.

I wouldn't put a full paycheck on any one football game.

Freak injuries or crazy outcomes are always a possibility in any NFL game.

    Correct.

The Chargers can only play the Patriots or the Jets @ Bengals winner. If the Ravens win, they head to Indy to take on the Curtis Painter-led Colts.

Painter's not going to play in the playoff game.

He played in the last two games to ensure he doens't play in that one.

(Although it would be kind of ironic if Peyton got hurt on the opening play)
