O.k. guys, gals, football fans all around. Lets call it like we see it and put it on the line. Lets voice our predictions for the AFC West.

The AFC West according to Conc!

    4th place:
    Oakland Raiders.
Why? Their O will score some points, but not enough. Brooks will not make it through the season as the Faiders starter, but when he is in he will connect to Moss a few times. Their D will be ok. But not enough to stop the higher powered Offenses they will face throughout the season and the AFC West.
    Record: 6-10.

    3rd Place
    Kansas City.
Why? They took a big hit in their OL with the retirement of Roaf. This will effect their running game, and the ability for the aging and nearly imobile Green to stay on his feet. Johnson will still get his yards, but do not expect 200 yard games from him like mana from heaven. Their D will be ok, just ok.
    Record: 9-7

    2nd place
    Denver.
Why? Over-rated, aging and facing locker room strife. They will not be able to constantly blitz oponents this year as teams will be ready for that. Already many teams perfecting the one step drop and throw along the LOS to beat the rush, as Cam did last year. This team will die by the blitz this year, and their O will be alright, but they are already facing challenges in the locker room, as their stars are either having difficulties in the media, (Jake's problems with the community after drunk driving charges), or voicing displeasure with the team.
    Record: 10-6

    1st place
    San Diego
Why? Rivers will not be an unknown long, nor will players like VJ, Floyd, or Cromarty. Our D will control their side of the game, the secondary will play imporved ball. The front seven will dominate this year. The O will continue to produce, who will the opposing D double cover? LT? Gates? McCardell? VJ? Parker? Manu? They double cover one person and two more will be in position to make the plays. The OL will be good enough to give Rivers time to get the ball out.
The biggest question will be special teams. Losing Sproles is a biger loss than many fans will acknowledge. Last year he averaged close to 24 yards per KO return, that put our O in a great position to move the ball. His replacement will need to be good and will definately impact the O. Our coverage teams are also a big question mark, and this unit has not really improved much in several years.
Our O will score points, our D will stop opposing O's and score points. This is the year of the bolt my friends!
    Record: 11-5

They are crhap this year. Their o-line went down the crapper they are having problems on D and their offense in general is just deflated and they have no depth. 5-11 is being generous and I'm serious :icon_eek:

I haven't read this thread yet, but we are getting dangerously close to too many sticky threads.

People ignore sticky's, and they do nothing but clutter the main board. Topics worth discussing usually "sticky" themselves. JMHO.
