I like that he's not just ignoring RB in the assumption that we can find any old scrub in the 3rd and 4th rounds.

But I seem to remember he went to the Ohio State pro day last year and talked to Beanie Wells.....could be the typical AJ Smith smokescreen.

Maybe he is knows that people think he's using a smokescreen and he's using reverse psychology....
I can guarantee you that he is looking long and hard into replacing the LT of old and I think he knows that Ryan Mathews has the best chance to do that. Plus, RB wasn't a need last year when we thought we had good RBs in LT and Sproles

The only bad thing for us if Matthews impresses too many scouts and GM's is he might not BE there at 28. I wouldn't mind getting Spiller either. That dude is just freakin FAST. Matthews could get picked before us, but who knows. Heck, AJ just might pick somebody we never even thought of. I mean I remember last year thinking we were for SURE going to pick Rey Maulauga and I hear "Larry English". I was like who the heck is that?

I didn't think we'd pick Rey, really he was the last person I thought we'd pick. I knew we needed a pass rushing OLB but I wasn't sure AJ would go in the 1st for one. I was thinking Otah when our pick was on the clock.

I honestly believe RB may be a smoke screen, he's really been pushing that we need a RB in the press, and he's been seen with pretty much all the potential guys.

Either that or he's using the past to his advantage, making people think it's a smoke screen but instead it turns out to be true.

To this day I still wonder why I didn't hear Oher back then.

The planets are starting to align......

Here is a B4L style worst case scenario....Dan Williams goes to Miami at 12, Spiller goes to Seattle at 14, Mathews goes to Houston at 20, Best goes to New England at 22, Cody goes to Cardinals at 26........then what?

I do like Price as a player, but I'd be extremely dissapointed if we drafted DE. We have more than enough depth there and some good upside in Vaughn Martin.

I'd probably try to trade back, not sure to whome or for what.

Not a big fan of Jared Odrick, Taylor Mays is a great hitter but terrible in pass coverage.

So ill go with best tackle available.

Then we go Devin McCourty, Daryl Washington, or Sean Weatherspoon (if he's still there). But Houston needs a CB, not a RB and I don't think they'll spend their 1st on a RB with this deep of a class.

I like all 3, but I'm heavily against drafting a corner who will more than likely start out behind Steve Gregory (who can hold his own) at nickle. I see corner as an issue for next season, I have faith that Cason will use this offseason to prepare as a starter, and at least be a very solid.

I agree 100% Mathews too Houston is stupid, but the hearsay right now is that Houston loves him.

Depends who slips. If that happens obviously that means someone is going to fall in the draft. NT and RB isn't our only need, it may be the biggest need but we could go OT, ILB, WR (if they think they can't resign both Floyd and VJ), DE, Safety and maybe even CB.

Agree, along with why AJ didn't choose Polamalu instead of Candyman Davis and Cough Syrup Kiel! But I digress.....

Rumor is, AJ did want Polumalu but Marty wanted Davis and Marty won out.

Our D-Line is ****. It reeks.

We need 2 starters on the D-Line and another QUALITY fat boy for D-Line depth. What we have right now is embarassing.

I got tired of saying it and when Jamal went down - it was OVA'.

    Done.

    Finito.

    Season kaput.

My biggest fear came true losing Jamal and it freaking showed. As of right now we are fuc't. All last year we were screwed. **** has to change and I am not relying on the asswipes we had last year to have some divine breakthrough on the d-line.
