Due diligence probably, but complete wishful thinking. All the past evidence points to the likelihood of AJ taking a 1st round OL to be pretty tiny.

I don't know who Watt is, but I can imagine AJ choosing a college role player in the first, then a third string white receiver in the 2nd round.

I hear he's also been to Pitt to see Baldwin among others. I'd hate to see him use a high pick on a WR. Won't Watt be gone by pick 18 no?. Carimi is an interesting suggestion but I hope and pray we go DE/DT first. If there is a top top corner I wouldn't mind one of them either.

JJ Watt would be a good pick up!

Thou I would not mind a defensive player with the first pick...with there being so much depth for defensive in this draft I think we would be better upgrading our offense with the best player available. Specifically OL or WR if a good one is available. An upgrade of RT, RG or even C would ideal for our running game to continue to improve next season.

Players that might fit the bill at pick 18 would be Pouncy, Carimi, Soldier, Julio Jones

Well you know what that means. That simply means AJ is going to pick someone else. You know how AJ rolls.....

    Getting a top-tier O-lineman would be nice....
Getting a game-changer for our defensive front seven would be awesome!! DE / DT / OLB is where I expect the Chargers to go at #18
