If we can get a #2 for him... this will be great.

Hope Kassim will be happy playing special teams elsewhere.

If AJ Smith gets a #2 for Osgood, that would be the steal of the decade.

It's a bummer, I like KO.... but after what he said about Norv to the media during the season, I'm not surprised. Let's see who bites....

Steal of the decade? I'd have to disagree. Though it would be good for us.
A team that could use help in WR and ST could get a lot out of it too.

Maybe AJ could add something else to it. A few late draft picks and/or another player..

If you'll read the article, it says that while the Chargers would like a 4th, they'd accept a 6th or even a 7th for him. And after two weeks on the market, there has been ZERO interest.

I think that Kassim is getting a bit of a reality check from AJ. After the noise he made last year about wanting to be a receiver and wanting to be traded, it really seems like the Chargers are showing him that he's just not cut out for it.

I wish he'd accept that he's an outstanding special teamer, the Pro Bowl selections, and be happy.

****, I know I'd be happy with that.

That would be the right thing to do for the very start.
Can't even get a #7 for him... WOW!!!

Still, AJ could possibly put a package deal together with him being part of it. At least I though.

I'd hate to see him go, but if we can nab a pick for him before he walks next season, more power to us.

Don't count on getting anything for him except maybe another semi-useful player

Would you trade him for a 6th or a 7th?

I wouldn't. He has more value to us as a special teamer.

Yes, and he would remain on ST.

Osgood should have counted his blessings instead of shooting off him mouth last year.

Hell no. Most 6ths and 7ths are wash-outs. We have a maniac special teamer that other teams must game plan for. That's unheard of for a player who doesn't do anything else but tackle on kick offs and punts.

Maestro had the best take on this thing. AJ's giving Osgood a reality check. If anything this helps us retain for a good price when his contract is up.

The draft is coming up and no one wants a special teams player. I think someone just got a big ol slap in the face. KO thinks his poo doesnt stink, and no one wants him.

AJ would be lucky to get his car washed for Osgood. He's a decent special teamer, but last year his performance there was down from previous years.

Osgood should shut up, play his best, & pray that someone picks him up next year so that he can still play football. This is likely his last year as a Charger.

Osgood has ZERO value on the market. No one is going to trade jack for him. He may think he is a NFL worthy WR, but I think that is more due to Rosenhaus blowing smoke up his ***.

No one trades anything for a designated special teams player.

I think our front office's differences with Kassim are probably irreconcilable at this point given the comments about Norv..etc... and I don't think we're going to get anything in a trade for him...Too bad because he was a gamer......Part of me does see KO's point in wanting to do more for this team...He has proven that he makes plays...albeit ST....and has great hands....Unnoticed was that he essentially saved our season last year in KC getting Bowe's fumble on the onside kick.....and of course there is the fact that we drafted complete busts like BUSTer Davis...who won't ever do jack for this team....is overpaid...and I'm sure Kassim believes (and probably correctly so) that he can outplay him as a receiver.

I think KO is a bigger loss than Hanik was.....but it's not like the most essential position in the world...and we'll probably find and UDFA or someone who will probably be a pretty good gunner.

Is this what he gets for getting his degree? Or did he get it knowing he might be out of a job soon? No matter he's still the Mayor here.

    GOOO AZTECS!!!
