AG just keeps getting better and better. He abused Chump Bailey on a couple of plays (turned him around completely on one play) and knocked him out of the game. He always is open and catches everything thrown his way.

In addition, he is on his way towards shattering the single season mark for TE's in receptions and yards and will go down in history as the best ever.

In a season where everyone seems to be focused on what's wrong, how about some props for this amazing talent?

Gates is really the lifeblood of our offense now. When is he not open?

On the telecast yesterday, Phil Simms compared Gates to Jim Brown, and I can see what he means. Both guys had such amazing athleticism and speed for their size that they were deceptive.

Gates is going to go down as the greatest tight end in NFL history.

Gates is a pimp. He was making the catches, and helped Rivers get settled.

Antonio is uncoverable. When the opposing team puts their perennial pro-bowl corner on your tight end and he still makes plays, you have something very special.

AG is quietly having the best season a TE has ever had. And how stupid is Shanarat? I understand that Gates is our best receiver and he put Champ on him because of it. I even almost understand him covering him in the open field. But with the Chargers on the 12 yard line, Gates in the slot, you do not put a 6'1" 200lb CB on a 6'4" 265lb TE. Shanarat got Bailey hurt. Gates just drove his *** back when he checked him and strained his quad just trying to keep him from running over him. And if Rivers had held the ball for 1 more second he had Gates wide in the end-zone. Note to Shanarat; Dont have people check receivers who are 70 lbs heavier than you are.

and Antonio ist getting better with the years and as nearly lonesome
receiver. Jackson for the long ones and LT for the screen passes.
There will be even more space for Gates when Eric Parker is in the
    game again.

I'm beginning to wonder if he could be sent to the pro bowl at two positions. He's now one of the best wide receivers in the league as well.

He has been having a great season. And he's been staying quiet and just making plays every chance he gets. Good stuff.

Complete stud this guy. He even intimidated Bailey to pulll a hammy. His hands are amazing. That TD was the best example of how good this guy is. Caught a nearly uncatchable ball in an awkward position but was able to get momentum back towards the goal line in a seamless motion.

We are seeing a future hall of famer in his prime. For me he is our MVP. I shutter to think how this offense would operate without him.

Mad props to AG. But of course he was bound to go off this week. I was rockin' my Gates jersey and called him my favorite current charger in The Bugle!

Seriously though, the guy seems like a total class act. They broadcasters commented on how he took a step back towards Champ when he hurt himself just to see if he was okay. He was the voice of calm when Rivers and LT were going at it. I love this guys attitude and work ethic.
