Gates will be needed for the push.

KC is going to see their season end against the Rams. Their ride is over.

Time to get it on. 10 days rest - a mini bye week. Perfect.

Gates can rest because McMichael is doing a great job for the team and Rivers is still spreading the ball around. I wouldn't count Gates out till it's official.

PFT is just that, pffft! A fluff rag at best... Don't worry, Gates will be back soon, and ten days of rest before the next game should help quite a bit. One game, then take names. Go Bolts!

PFT used the UT as the source. Don't jump to conclusions about PFT.

Saying (or guessing) he's out for the next to games is not a stretch.

Two bad teams, we'll probably have Floyd and Crayton back by next week, McMichael is doing fine, defense is playing their best in years....I see no reason to have Gates in the game right now.

I am glad Gates and the staff are taking the safest route possible for Gates' return. I have been saying he could sit out since week 11, more hoping he would have been Game ready by the 17th week. And ready for a strong Postseason push.

Also been saying for a few weeks now, I like out teams chances IF they are in this years post season. I was gonna put it towards the Ravens and Jets opponents to do what they need to do and GET this Charger team into the dance and we are gonna bring it home for the AFC.

McMichael is proving to be a reliable tight end, now that he once again--or is it finally?--has a real NFL quarterback throwing him the football. He was a steal for the Dolphins coming out of Georgia in 2002. It's kind of remarkable that he's here right now.

He's no Gates, of course, but there aren't many backup tight ends who can fill those shoes as well as McMichael has.
