I've always admired the passion and commitment of Chiefs fans, but they were pretty pathetic today. When the 4th quarter started, the Chiefs were within one score and the stadium was half empty. After LT scored with 10 minutes left, it was a third empty. That's pretty pathetic. Perhaps Chiefs fans aren't as diehard as they appear.

I saw that too. The weather was cold & windy and you could imagine how that must have been. I would've stayed, but then again, I'm not a Chiefs fan.

    I've been to worse.

Winter games in Baltimore where you're wearing layers of cloathing and sipping Irish coffee.

I remember a lot of empty seats in the late 70s/early 80s for the Chiefs.. Not sure they are as "committed" as they say they are. They had a nice run and now seem to be on the down turn.

It's easy to sell out when you win all the time, not so much when you know your team sucks.

The stadium was never really full, I saw a bunch of sections pretty empty even before the 4th quarter. I mean I know it was cold, but I thought they were diehard, it wasn't even raining or snowing.

Chief fans get a pass from me.

Its damn cold and wet around these parts.

they are out of playoff contention, they paid for the seats, and it was a sellout.

If they wanna get warm and dry then so be it

That's fine (I don't blame them) .. but they shouldn't be in the same conversation when it comes to "great fans" then..

well, yes and no.... I was surprised to see so many empty seats. But, that said, would WE have been there in that cold wind? I don't mind standing in the rain, but I'm not sure where my "cut off" point is for just staying home and watching on tv.

It's the denver fans that bailed out in the third quarter of our win there earlier that I found to be pathetic. True donkey fans.... losers.

Why don't you go back to making racist comments in the Sean Taylor thread.

It was like that last year too, and they won.

They get a good rep cause their seats are red so on TV it looks like it is full

There's plenty of good reasons why their fans left, but I know I'll be sure to remember the sight of all those empty red seats next time someone labels Charger fans "fair weather".

The announced attendance of 74,874 was the smallest at Arrowhead Stadium in almost six years.

"Announced attendance" is tickets sold. Not how many people are actually there. There's no way in God's big, black universe that there were 74K there yesterday.

Midway through the 4th quarter there were maybe 25,000 people left.

Yup. They're that most phony fans in NFL!!!

I mean why would you not stay and applaud bad performance and celebrate a loss?!!!

Especially after that final interception... the corner back was too open. So there for, Chiefs fans should have applauded their QB after the throw!!!

Now that they share the doormat with the Retards, they really have a reason to celebrate this great season!!
