Maybe he thinks he's having a great season, thanks to that short memory of his.

Who ends up with more sacks in the season English or the Sha(w/u)ns combined?

Twitter just shows that alot of players care more about all the fringes of playing football then they do actually enjoy playing football

Phillips is a bigger disappointment this season than Merriman.

The team was built like dominos waiting to fall if one falls the rest fall and are ineffective.

That pretty much tells us what we need to know.

The players don't care. I think it's time to clean house and start over.

Philips is a horrible player by the way. The guy has never really done anything except for one year. It shouldn't be hard to replace him.

If I may pose a serious question...

Merriman was this team's defensive leader two years ago when we were at our best (and was still heralded as the 'leader' when he was on the sidelines). Attitude is very very contagious...

Is it possible that Merriman's 'Hollywood' attitude spread through the defense like the plague? I mean we know what kinda guy he is and what sorts of people he chooses to associate with. If he's our defensive role model maybe we shouldn't be surprised we've got a bunch of half-assed mouth-running non-tacklers.

If all the players worry about is their image and not winning, then its time they hit the road.

You guys are great....What the hell do you expect this guy to do lock himself in his house and cry in his football jersey until next week? So the guy goes out and has a few drinks after the game big freakin' deal...If you have a ****** day at work, is it unheard of to go have a couple of drinks with your boys at the bar???

I dont have a problem with that. What I have a problem with is the "OH WELL" attitude. If he would of sounded like he was just a little mad, that would of been fine with me. But it sounded like he was worried more about his image more than his job.

yeah, or how about waiting more than 2 hours after you just lost the division on your home field to tell everyone you're out partying

fans are at home pissed off and heartbroken and this SCRUB is out chilling with his boys eating a fat steak and acting like its no big deal

    I'm done with 95

I didn't know Ruth's Chris was partying... I just thought it was a good (expensive) meal.

Pro Athlete's have to have a short-memory - if they held on to losses like the fans did they'd never succeed. How people can take 140 characters of text and blow it so out of proportion is beyond me.

I think it's the way it came out, like others mentioned it was like it was no big deal. If you don't care then why should I care if he's still on the team?

You'd never see that from LT or Rivers. Those guys actually care about winning and hate losing. Guys like SP seem to just enjoy the glory from winning games.

Syd, the Wu Tang reference suggests to me they were in a private room partying/not having a quiet dinner

I honestly don't give a **** what people do after the game, it's their life, just don't tell everyone about it and give them the impression that you don't really care much

Merriman, Osgood, and even Cro didn't post on twitter so soon after the game to let us know they were out having dinner/drinking/whatever...at least let us believe they are home breaking dishes over their heads and stuff

Maybe "the other guy" needs to eat some red meat. He's been a huge disappointment this season.

I was at Ruth Criss last sat. night in Kansas City. You'll never guess who was there for dinner that night. Yep, Shaun Phillips and Cooper.
