I heard that the Chula Vista site is a no go It was on the news last night and an employee of the Charger organization said that they were informed that they would announce the departure of the Chargers after the 2008 season. They will either go to the city of industry up in Ontario or Las Vegas NV. The latter of this is second hand information and I can't verify it but You never know. Point is what do we do next if this is true. I never thought in my wildest nightmares that a county as affluent as San Diego would let a pro football team just walk away I mean there's got to be something that can be done. Are we really that lame?

The Chargers need a new stadium, according to them, and will go to any city willing to provide it. But when times are this harsh I couldn't see any city willing to finance such a project. We'll keep a close eye on this and see what happens. The CITY of San Diego is completely willing to let them go and that's where we, the people, can step in.

Teams in all sports are getting new stadiums still.

Hell, the Marlins and their crappy attendance got one approved recently.

I know but at least we can hope we can keep them. Chargers are San Diego! Keep it that way.

IF the Chargers move I'm hoping for San Antonio.

I want them to stay in San Diego because I hate it when sports teams move, but if they do move I hope they at least move closer to me.

(As much as I love the city of San Diego, I'm more attached to the franchise than I am the city so I'd still remain a fan. But I can certainly understand why others wouldn't.)

Neither have I. And I live in East Chula Vista. I think the whole thing is still in limbo, with the powerplant in CV and many other issues like environmental, port, etc. I think the Chargers No. 1 priority is CV, but CV has it's own issues to deal with. I'm personally tired of the whole thing. Hell, just win a Superbowl and everything will take care of itself!

I think parker88fan/MountainDew is trying to fill the void left by leisure and MTLboltsfan as the person who makes the arguments and statements that could cause the most controversy.

Everyone likes Merriman, so he hates him.

Everyone naturally wants the Chargers to stay in San Diego, so he wants them to leave.

If Michael Turner was still a bolt he'd probably be taking over the "bench or trade LT, start Turner" crusade.

What's he done to get banned? :icon_shrug:

He's expressing an opinion, which is his right. It may be for reasons other than actually being something that he believes, but he's done nothing wrong. Annoying, yes, but that doesn't warrant banning.

EMB, you got a link to any of this?

That's called trolling, and is a valid reason for banning.

I am a american citizen just like everyone else! Thats bullshit! Just because I can give 2 shits for Merrioid I must be banned? There are tons of LB who are better. We should of got D.Ware but, I know he wasnt an option. The LB who I like best out of all of them is Odell Thurman! Now he is a beast!

If that's your honest opinion there's nothing wrong with it.

I'm just unsure as to whether or not this is really the case when the majority of your "opinions" go against the general consensus opinions here.

By the way, your citizenship in this country is irrelevant to whether or not you should have a right to post on this message forum.

    Irrelevant to the point.

I've seen critical remarks on the team before by others in here. (B4L comes to mind)

I've even seen some share your "opinion"

But when just about every single one of your "opinions" bucks the trend red flags start raising.

Wanting to ban poof is bullshit. He hasn't hurt anyone. You don't like what he has to say, don't respond. It isn't like he's spamming his opinions on threads. Hell, B4L was WAAAAY worse with his Norv-bashing last year & he's here - as he should be.

The difference being, that was B4L's honest opinion of Norv.

I'm not convinced this is P88F's honest opinion of Merriman and/or whether or not the Chargers should remain in San Diego.

If his only intent is to cause disdain towards ill opinions then it's a disservice to the board.

I'm not sure which is the case though, I'm speaking on an "if" basis here and adding that I'm suspicious.

OK! Meriman leads the NFL in sacks! That's more important than even leading in tackles since sacks effectively ends the opponents chance at any kind of progress whatsoever. Watch Shawne play. He is the best OLB in the league. He blows up blockers, blitzes perfectly, hits RB's with explosive force (Priest holmes-lights out!), and leads the defense in chants, huddles, and even camp. Merriman has done a hellavalot since his roid incident.

He had 12.5 sacks last year :icon_shrug:

He's also been dealing with these knee injuries since his roid incident.
