    Bodyguard Neal finding pathway blocked

    By Michael Silver, Yahoo! Sports
    June 6, 2008

He's an All-Pro back who strikes fear in the heart of defenders, a tough, intelligent veteran who has the undying admiration of the NFL's most respected runner. When we last saw him, he was returning heroically from a broken right fibula to play in the AFC Championship game, then heading to Hawaii to start for the conference in his third consecutive Pro Bowl....

"I feel like Rudolph," Neal says. "I'm getting left out of the reindeer games. And my red nose is my age. Because of that, they won't let me play."

Speaking of the color RED. If the dude ever does get on the field again... someone is gonna have to pay in blood. He's gonna be a m'fuggin' freight train of pent up aggression.

Lo Neal is a class act. He's quiet, doesn't draw attention to himself (except through his play) and is a role player. Hated to see him go and I hope he catches a break with another team (as long as that team is not in our division).

That's real similar to one of the (not so bad) quotes after the Indy game in the controversial Silver article. I do think Lo Neal was one of the guys talking to Silver, but his quotes and thoughts weren't put as nefarious as Silver spun them.
Neal spoke out? Maybe only to Silver for that article.

That quote needs to be used every time LT is labeled a sideline pouter and crybaby.

... and Mikey Silver DOES have a friendship with Neal ....

Age gets us all sooner or later. Neal has escaped the consequences longer than most. He's going to make a hell of a coach.

It's too bad. He had a contract. He should still be out there with LT. I hope somebody picks him up, but it just seams really unlikely at this point. That position just seams to be getting phased out of the game all together. One thing I won't miss is that god awful 1 yard pass play they ran with him at least once every game.

Lo is an obsolete model in today's pass happy offenses.

    Sad but true.
