Just heard it on NFL Network. Jets and Cowboys apparently couldn't match the Eagles offer. Now they have Asomugha, Rogers-Cromartie, and Samuel at cornerback.

Thank goodness. We won't have to deal with him for a while.

Glad we won't be playing the Eagles for a couple years. That will be a VERY tough CB group

Yep, it worked out great for Chargers fans........ sent him to the other conference, weakened a division foe, and didn't strengthen a hated rival.

I think I might have been willing to eat 1-2 years of the Jets having him for the sheer entertainment of the absolute cap hell they would have been in in 2013 (when the "soft" cap goes away and the hard cap is completely solidified). They're still a team without much in the way of an outside pass-rush and wouldn't have the means to acquire one except by the draft due to lack of funds. Revis and Scrabble wouldn't be the one defending Gates - that'd be 5'8" Jim Leonhard, a mid-level (if they could afford it) FA safety, Eric Smith, or David Harris and the rest of the Jets' pretty darn slow LB corps.

Now instead, unless they use the funds to acquire an actual pass-rusher (of which the FA market is pretty dry; they'd have to trade for Osi or something), Tomlinson just agreed to restructure his contract so that the Jets can re-sign Cromartie and Cro can pay support for his legion of illegitimate children.
