By Jay Paris

SAN DIEGO ---- It's finally time for the Chargers to do their pickin' and grinnin.'

The NFL draft arrives this morning, and with it comes the opportunity for the Chargers to make their offseason splash. The team has nine picks, their first coming at No. 19.

To date, most of the Chargers' out-of-season noise arrives courtesy of their exit door's hinges.

Since losing three of their final four games last year, the Chargers have removed Pro Bowl quarterback Drew Brees, wide receiver Reche Caldwell, linebacker Ben Leber, tight end Justin Peelle, defensive end DeQuincy Scott, offensive linemen Bob Hallen and Courtney VanBuren and defensive backs Sammy Davis, Jamar Fletcher and Jerry Wilson from their roster.
