If these guys need a tv commercial to motivate them, they are in bigger trouble than I thought they were...

Hey Bears...how about using the fact that you got pwned in the Super Bowl as your "motivation"....:icon_rofl:

Its all just a bunch of "ra ra ra" BS.

If you need a commercial to get you pumped up for a week 1 road trip against the most talented team in the NFL your stupid as hell.

That's what's so funny. Urlacher and those other whiners want to treat it like a slap in the face, but Harris appeared in the commercial.

Even Harris tries to act like it's extra motivation. It's a bunch of BS. This is the season opener. I expect everyone will be playing their absolute best. No one should need extra motivation for this one.

The commercial means nothing... what were they going to use, a non-descript logo-less player? Meh.

If it's true that Rivers was truly talking smack, that seems a bit unwise as the Chargers need to perform a little better this season to earn those smack-talk rights.

I have a hard time believing that Rivers trashed talked during the fliming of the commercial... Harder time believing that no one let a camera roll if he indeed was doing so.....

Trash talking is not really his style. Yet, if he did do so..... sure hope it doesn't come back to bite him.... Save the trash talking for after the win on Sunday... ;)

It's like saying they're mad because SD has better weather than the windy city. Just media hype. Once people start hitting each other, no one will be thinking about this stuff.........UNLESS LT actually jukes the crap out of several of these guys in route to a TD.

Tank Johnson was their best run stuffer, without him the Bears DL is undersized. We should be able to run right at them.

If Rivers was trash talking I'm sure it was goofy and light-hearted. These so-called tough guys need to grow thicker skin. And Urlacher would do himself well to grow a neck.

p.s. why are there hacidic jews everywhere I look?

The Tampa 2 defense has two inherent weaknesses.

First, the middle of the field can be exploited by rangy TE's and slot WR's. You saw Indy take full advantage of this in the Super Bowl vs. the Bears. The MLB is responsible for the middle depth of the field in this scheme, and as good as Urlacher is, he can't stay with Buster Davis in the slot, or Gates working the area between the hashes.

The second weakness of the Tampa 2 comes from an emphasis on speed over size. Power running games tend to dominate that defense. Again, in the Super Bowl the Colts got away from their "stretch" running game and used quite a few "Power-Ohs" vs. the Bears. The stretch plays don't work as well vs. edge speed, which is what all cover-2 base defenses possess.

The Bears did not game plan in a similar fashion vs. Indy's Tampa-2 defense, and besides Grossman's errors, that was the single biggest reason why Indy won the game and showed Dungy to be a superior coach to Lovie Smith.

Besides the inherent weaknesses of the Tampa 2, add in the factor of missing the "over" (or nose) tackle Tank Johnson, and seeing the under tackle Tommie Harris still recovering from last season's injury. The middle of the Bears D will be soft and exploitable for San Diego's superior Power-Oh style rushing attack.

I dont know if he will slash through them like that. But if they focus too much on LT (lightning), then Thunder will get them in the form of our tight ends and receivers.

Key will be to protect Rivers from the many different blitzes and stunts he will see.

Ramsdell and Rivera will have Rivers ready. Having RR on staff is gonna pay off big this week, I can feel it.

Very true. We also have the jumbo bodies to pick up a blitz. I think Norv is going to have a few surprises for the Bears as well.

But they will challenge us with their defense, but our O is up for the challenge IMO.

I don't care what the Bears do for motivation it's not going to help them. While the game may end up close in score, the Bears are going to feel the wrath of a pissed off Bolt team that has something to prove.:bolt:

Actually, that's great motivation on Lovie's side.

Bobby Ross motivated the Chargers in the 94 AFC Championship by showing the clips of the Steelers guaranteeing that the won't score a single point in the game.

Sorry, but producing a Super Bowl video before you play the AFC title game is much worse thana commercial where a player imagines running all over your defense. That's another thing that cracks me up about the Bears' *****ing. In the commercial, LT is visualizing what will happen after the snap. It doesn't even happen in the reality of the commercial, which of course is not real. This was not a prediction from LT of what would happen. It's a freaking commercial.

If this was such a slap in the face, then Tommie Harris should have stayed home instead of accepting a fat paycheck to be in the commercial.

Philip is the biggest trash talker on the team. I have no doubts that he was riding Harris pretty good during the filming of that commercial.
